  1. Oh God...I crave salad. I crave any veggies as I haven't eaten them in at least a year. I know if I was able to eat real food I would make good choices cuz I am craving all the good things. But still stuck with sippin milk or water and nibbling watery mashed potatoes.
  2. Wow...this is me!! I too was banded June 06 and am also below goal because of being unable to eat. Live on mashed potatoes n milk! Then there are days that wont work either. Throw up even liquids alot. Im gonna go have a complete unfill..I only have.3ccs right now, but still unable to eat. I dont really puke though...just lean over the toilet and it all just comes out. I am sick and tired of feelling sick and tired. Yeah..Im skinny now..but my hair is falling out and looks like straw and Im pale and look sick...basically like a bulimic which is what the band made me. Would I do it again...HELL YEAH!!!
  3. Sounds just like me. I expell almost everything I eat...and sometimes even just fluids. I drink something...lean over the toilet and out it comes. I have very few things I know I can tolerate. I have the bad problem of being able to tolerate alcohol when nothing else works and have therefore found myself drinking too often. I look sick as hell...too skinny..hair falling out..SICK TO DEATH OF BEING SICK ALL THE TIME!!! I can soooo relate.
  4. I am the same way. All day long I am leaning over the toilet. I eat..or even drink many times...and within minutes I am bringing it back up. NOT vomiting or PBing..just lean over and out it comes. I am banded 1 1/2 yrs. ..started at 236 and am at 144 now..and going down. Not because I want to but I cant help it. I only have .30 ccs in my band and I really think it is just placed too high. My hair is falling out and so thin and crappy looking...Im gonna try a complete unfill and see what happens. Hope to God this gets better cuz I look awful. I can see I look pale and sickly. Not what I was after when I got this band!! Hope all your issues will resolve...good luck!!
  5. I am with ya...I totally live on milk and instant mashed potatoes. But every time I pull on a pair of my size 6 jeans...trust me, the fact I never get real food doesn't bother me at all!!!
  6. Glad to hear I'm not alone. It takes me all morning reheating my coffee to get a cup down. Cold liquids usually come back up after a few swallows and most days I live on Cream of Mushroom soup. Some days are better though and I can eat solid foods....after PB'ing the first couple bites. I have been like this since my last fill...I am at 1.8cc's. I was really hoping to stick it out and maybe it would loosen without an unfill, but after 3 months of this I am ready to take a little out. On the up side...I am losing about.5lbs a day.....down to a size 10 jeans! WHHOOO HOOOO!!
  7. My port is also very protrusive and easily felt. It is a lump visible thru my shirt if I wear a tight fitting Tshirt. I hope to get a low profile port when I am at goal.

  9. I had my first fill on Monday and even though I feel restriction now, I am still hungry all the time. I am only able to eat a few bites of anything now, but about 15 minutes after those bites, I am hungry again...to the point of my stomach growling. Its really frustrating.
  10. Hi!! My surgery was June 23rd in Monterrey...hubby and I both. He is down 46lbs without a fill and I was just filled 1cc in a 4cc band on Monday. I am only down 20lbs, but feel much better restriction now so I am hopeful!!
  11. Oh, thank God for you guys!!! I have been so worried and feeling like such a failure and it helps so much to know that I am not the only one and that this will likely be better after a fill. Thank you all for your support....I dont know what I would do without this site.
  12. I am sooo frustrated. My hubby and I were banded at the same time (4 weeks ago) and he is feeling very restricted and unable to eat much at all. I, however, am hungry all the time and able to eat large amounts without feeling full. I am aware of the band...unable to eat things like white bread or potatoes, but other things are no problem and I have to eat nearly as much as before banding to feel satisfied and then I am hungry again soon after. I am so afraid that my band slipped or something. I lost 11 lbs the first week or two and now I am losing nothing, which doesn't surprise me due to the amount of food I am able to eat. Did anyone else have this problem or should I be worried? I just feel like I am failing again.
  13. Where is your port located? Mine is so far up on my left side, just under my ribs and very close to the surface. It sticks out so far it is visible thru my shirt and bothers my very badly. Every day by early evening I am in pain all around and under my port area. I am only 9 days out, so is this normal? I am really worried about its placement!
  14. How long after surgery did you leave the watertight bandages on. Mine was done Friday and the bandages are driving me crazy!! Do you think its safe to take them off?
  15. I am so freaking out right now!! I am 7 days post op and accidentally swallowed the piece of sugarless gum I was just chewing!! Do you think I should be worried ? Should I try to throw up or what?? What would you do??
