  1. She's PERFECT! People are hideous! These same people probably have something that actually does make them a bad parent but you cant see it...alcoholism, abuse, smoking, etc !!!Otherwise why are they looking at someone else...again, she's PERFECT!!!!

Good for you...ALWAYS do whats best for you...and only YOU know that! Yes I surf and the port is no problem yet but I am still 30 pounds overweight...5"4" and 175. It does stick out...I see it in the mirror especially if I have my arms up like blowdrying or whatever...but it never bugs me. There's lots of soft stuff under it even if youre skinny to let it sink into when you lay on a hard surface...that's what my doc said. I had asked about the surfing and since I got banded in LA apparently its a common question and he said he has not had any patients with a problem with it!

I was just reading about Isopure protein water and wondering if I could freeze it into cubes, add some tequila, triple sec, and lime juice to it in a blender and,,, well, you get the idea!

Does it taste ok? I need more protein and I bought some 'shots' in big red plastic test tubes at GNC and wow I gagged they were so bad! They were the consistency of semi melted jello but they tasted like a dead dog, I think!!!
  6. The pix show a big change...congrats!

Hey, panic attacks are self-protective! In the MRI its telling you dont crawl into a hole...Taco Bell is telling you that stuff'll kill you! JUst kidding but panic attacks are natures way of telling you whats going on with yourself...having them probably makes you more insightful and self aware than others as long as you dont let them limit what you do! You seem like one of the least weak-willed people I have met on here...nobody has their sh*t together...give yourself a break but keep blogging!

Maybe once you've lost some weight it wont be an issue. But I knew someone who got one, didnt think she needed it, hated it, but...after wearing it a few nights she coulndt believe how good and rested she felt all day. She had thought her constant fatigue was just normal. Good luck Jaxie! PS The octopus had me ROFLing!
  9. I would count both of the kids' remarks as NSVs (non scale victories)! Agree on the fill I would never be able to eat more than about half of one and that's good for me!
  10. Glad to hear it...
  11. Good luck, you wont need it, and say yes to drugs!
  12. Looks like simple starvation to me... I dont know anything about this diet but your menu for 2/16 was 300 calories? How can you ever get off this without rebound gain...? Am I missing something?

    Thanks for that post...lucky woman!
  14. Can you tell us the difference between the two procedures?
  15. You sound right on track and very insightful of how this works for you...congrats!

Yes, I agree. My weight now probably had me near suicidal when I was on my way up but cant remember because its more than ten years ago! Anyway seeing it on the way down has me ecstatic!! I am also a slow loser but that's just ok with me...this is the first time I have ever "not gained' and 'not dieted' for nine whole months of my life!!!A year from now it wont matter exactly when I hit goal or how much I lost per week or month!
  17. I have definitetly heard on this site from several people that you can lose yourself right out of coverage for the band...be careful! You're supposed to fail this diet...that's what means you need the surgery (according to the insurance companies) ! Some people have asked directly and the person representing the benefits dept kind of had a wink/smile voice and said "well if you lost that much you wouldnt need the procedure, right?"
  18. I'll be singing that one all day...rock on!
  19. The comment box is back...woo hoo! I have been feeling so cold lately it was crazy (I live on the central CA coast...its NOT cold) and somehow I kind of ate a bunch of stuff I shouldnt have...bingo! Warmer...prob better to use exercise instead of cals to warm up but I think it really shows that metabolism thing!!! Actually I think my calories have been a little low and I am going to try to bump up to 1200 but not by eating cookies and chips! LOL! How did the sleep go?
  20. When I go for a fill I take a dose of liquid kids advil just before I go in to keep the swelling down. I drive 4 to 5 hours to get there or I would just take it at home! I do eat before I leave, then on the way home a jamba or even a small shake from wherever.

I have only lost 40 so far but I can really feel a difference in crossing my legs and my arms!My best NSV is that this is the longest I have ever gone without dieting or gaining weight back!!

Be careful on the heavy boots because some of the scales require a skin contact on your feet...bare! One gallon of water weighs eight pounds...might want to wear a big pad in case...they cant make you take THAT off even if youre in a gown! Good luck youll be fine!
  23. Guess it would be in bad taste to make bets on the success of future banders...but my money is on you. You already have done great...let us know how it goes!
  24. Absolutely...do what's best for you!!
