Lapband to Sleeve
She say she has agreed to let you convert to the sleeve, did she have any input , ask any questions, give any kind of advice? Do you have any symptoms of reflux? There are a lot of surgeons that will not revise from band to sleeve because of the increased risk of reflux.

Help!
I am sure there are lots of people that have even though they knew they weren’t supposed to but I can’t imagine there would be many people that would forget they had had surgery!

Band tightening up
Are you stuck on something? If you are stuck then you may need to go and get an unfill. If it is just acting up try a warm drink, this often helps to relax things. The other thing that can help is sucking on crushed ice, this helps to sooth and reduce inflammation.

2008 bandsters
I’m a 2009 bandit but not for much longer. My band is no longer helping, I have regained quite a lot of weight and there is a concern about the probable damage that the band has done so I am revising to an RNY in Jan

3 1/2 years old - new health challenges ... ugh.
If the treatment to prevent you dying is to drink or eat some healthy sugars when required are you really going to ignore that? A glass of orange juice or some honey followed by something like a healthy whole meal sandwich or a banana can’t be that bad if it saves your life

Huge influx of random flirting
I don’t know why people send the pics, I think those bits are extremely unattractive. I’ve certainly never seen one that i’ve thought wow that’s a good looking ...... They may be functional and can be pleasurable IF used correctly but they certainly ain’t pretty. I would rather get a pic of flat abs and that bit just above that goes into a V!

Low blood pressure after RYGB?
Thanks James those links are great. I have been looking for examples of what to eat to treat a hypo after rny. Most articles tell you how to avoid it but they don’t tell you what to do to treat it.

Your Teeth After Surgery
Make sure you get enough vit D & calcium and keep up a good dental hygiene routine and that should be enough

So I won the lawsuit against SLIMBAND IN TORONTO how do i collect
Yes it would be nice to get a refund , that would at least help cover the revision costs but its unlikely to happen

What to do when dumping?
The general advice for a hypo ( non wls ) is to have something that is high in sugar and easy to absorb, liquid is better than solid. So orange juice, high sugar cordials etc ( avaoid carbonation). Alternatively foods such as honey or jam also wok quickly. Then once the person appears to be returning to normal it should be followed up with a good quality, low gi carb e.g a banana or whole meal bread sandwich. Obviously for wls patients i imagine the recommendations would be a little different . However it is still important to raise and stabilise the blood sugar.

Is gastric bypass surgery reversible at all??
I have been reading some of your other posts. It appears from what you have posted that even though you are from the UK you have not had your surgery there you have had it somewhere in Europe. Also from what you have posted it doesn't seem that you have had a consultation with a professional dietician, that in itself is a worry as is the fact that you don't seem to be having the protein shakes that most programs require. How much preparation was there for you prior to the surgery? What consults did you have? It seems like there may have been steps missing and if so then I'm not surprised you are feeling the way you are atm.

Is gastric bypass surgery reversible at all??
Your body needs to HEAL. The last thing it needs now is the trauma of another surgery. The risks of that would be incredibly high. In the meantime I would be asking if there was a psychologist that you could be referred to. Speaking to a professional experienced in these matters could be a tremendous help

Is gastric bypass surgery reversible at all??
Sorry to hear you are struggling, hopefully whatever the issue is is sorted out quickly. Having regret after such a huge life changing surgery is common, especially in the beginning. That doesn’t mean it would get reversed , that is only done in very rare circumstances. Had you had a sleeve you could just as easily feel the same way you do now. Early regret is not restricted to RNY patients

They cancelled my surgery
That would be disappointing. Did you follow the prepop diet that the DR gave you?

Two Years Out and Major Weight Regain
Why would you still need protein shakes this far out. Surely the aim by now should be to get your protein from food.
