Disney World and the meal plan....
You know at Disney I was surprised that the kids meals were better than the adult meals. There was always carrots, grapes, salad, milk, apple sauce as sides. But yeah in general I don't want my choice to be mac and cheese or chicken nuggets. Blach.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Look like I'm going to be on my hybrid bike on the trails in MI this weekend, I've been threatened. D, You are inspired. I love the idea of picking up something that weighs what I've lost. I have to find a regular size short woman. That could taken so wrong... Later y'all

Thanks for the congrats. It's my BS. I'm enrolled in Franklin's intigrated undergrad/grad program. I've been talking grad classes the last 8 months of my undergrad life. I graduated on 17th but have another 8 months to go before I get the MBA in hand!

Disney World and the meal plan....
We just got back on two weeks ago. Two adults and a 7 year old. It worked well for us. We did character dining, a few nice restaurants, and the quick service. We ended up buying more food than the plan called for. Just a bit. The down side, is I wanted to eat everything provided. You get dessert and good portions. When I realized I could carry out my left overs it got better. My daughter sometimes ate the adult meal and I ate the kid meal. Nobody is watching that closely. I'd buy the meal plan again. It was worth it.

wow, that's a dootie mouth post you have there. Impressive. Yeah, the union thing is really only in the North American plants and that is where they lose all their money. Good point.

How do you really feel? I thought that would get a rise out of you? But really I don't know how to write 2 pages worth only 60 points on what the hell they should do. Give up? Close their doors, stick with foreign built cars in other parts of the world? They do pretty well not here. Also their financial services are huge. You should be able to do a Tri with me. I think that's how we'll celebrate your 30th (my 80th) birthday. What do you think?

D, don't tell anyone but I want to shoot for a Tri in 2010. I swim like a dead fish, so it's going to take some training. But now I'm just looking at 10K in October. I've got some Babygirl ass to kick.

I've written the 10year history of Ford finanically and where it's been in the world markets..now I have to suggest what it should do differently to make better money. Ford. Motor Company! You'd think there are smarter people the me who could answer that question. I just learned that they were smeared all over the world! I get that it's supposed to make me think critically, but for pity's sake. Resume your regular bicycling chats...rant over

Worried is too strong a word, wondering is probably better. A trianer told me 3 days on one day off is optimal. That's doesn't fit my life, but I think there's something to it. Hope you get some fun in this weekend too. I'm cleaning and reading....chillin at the pool too. Yippy!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
BG, I nearly texted you so you wouldn't worry, then I thought I was being a dork. But I was in a board meeting this morning. Doesn't that make me sound important? I'm not, but that's where I was. I've been eating like poo. I'm not proud. I hope you work your little booty off with those step ups and squats. I ran again yesterday. I'm doing some intervals so I can build strength. I'm going to start adding time/distance next week. XO, paper writing now. Well I'm done avoiding it.

D there is no disappearing. I can do it you can to. Once or twice a day to say you are breathing is all we are looking for. Have a fun weekend!!!!!!!!! HP You kick his ass for me too. SB- Strikeuptheband, you have new initials. May I suggest you test drive a road bike before you discount it completely? It won't cost you a penny and you might be surprised by it. But you go girl...good you getting the BF involved too. 2B- Pretty bike indeed.

August marchies!
Janine, I flucutate about 3-4 pounds if I'm not mindful. Meaning if I'm not diligent about eating well, my weight pops up a few pounds, it will stay there and then drop quickly when I eat well for a few days. Is that what you wanted to know? and thanks. I am proud.

Blech, "support" group.
I had similar issues. The LPN at my doctor's office said we Lapbanders are just a different type of patient. We don't need the coddling the RNY's do. We don't need the support, etc. I said that's not entirely true. Yes, our aftercare consists of fills and not monitoring closely our blood work because we aren't malnurished, but it was a cop out on the part of the practice to ignor our needs. It's been nearly two years since I first said something and still nothing about making it more lapband friendly. Come here, we'll get your back.

D That stinks. You know if you think he's wrong get a second opinion. It's your health. But if he's right, that's a simple solution. Sorry for the added stress of not having a real answer. Hope everyone is having a good Thursday! J

August marchies!
Gwen, Had we known I'd certainly would have met up with you! I did that last year on my vacation in Cap Cod. I met up with a woman from LapbandTalk from California. She and I still write frequently. You should go back to school if you want to. There's so much in this world to learn. I love it. Oh, and here's a pick of me from Sunday, getting my Bachelor's degree. I'm wearing a size 14P! Me! OMG, that's the real story. I love my band.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Sorry LBT, HP usually handles that question and she's away in Florida. Road bikes are built for paved surfaces and to go quickly. They have skinny tires which contact less road and make it easier to propel your bike forward. Mountain bikes are built for textured roads and to withstand shocks from jumps etc. They are built to be abused with thick tires that grab the road more. They take more effort to propel forward. A hybrid is marrying the two. Hybrids are more mountain than road. They have not as thick tires, but they are thick and they sit upright. Comfort bikes are newer on the market and also marry the two ideas but are more road than mountain. Typically they have the tires of a road and the handlebars of a mountain. There are companies like Trek, Giant, Jamis, Specialized out there who make all four kinds. Road bikes tend to cost more too. My word of advice, if you think you'll not ever really ride off road get a comfort bike or an entry level road bike. Most people who do not tend to regret "under buying" their first bike. Hope that Helps. Sorry to leave you hanging.

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
That is a stunning result. 6 lbs, way to go!!!!!!!!!!! I got back on the stick today. No sugar, no "not growing food" as we call it for Zoe. I'm logging on Fitday what I ate. I worked out like someone who doesn't want to quit losing. All in all, a good day.

I'm gonna let HP tell you all about bikes. She's bought them all and is actively still riding. I feel a little like a poser posting on here. But this is home so I'm not leaving. And I'll get back on the bike again, promise. D, don't tell the bikers but I believe deep in my heart running is the key to getting to goal and beyond it. If you look at the goal chicas on this board, they run. And girl, call it running. I run at work, we have a paved road that circles the building complex. One coworker told me she saw me out there "walking" I told her, "I might be slow, but I call it running." I pick my feet up like a runner! Well sorta. You're inspiring as always. BG, I looked up LAMP on youtube. Funny as hell. I loved that movie. I'm sure you're not surprised. ZZZZZ, I see you lurking. You had better post!
