I am worried I just got the realize band Sept 16th 2009. I have lost 17 pounds including pre-op in 4 weeks. I notice it seems like everyone mainly has the lapband. The Dr asked me to chose but I left it up to him because he said there was not much difference between the 2 I hope I didn't make a mistake.

Hi my name is Deann and I just got the band Sept 16th of 2009. I was doing really good the first 2 weeks post band but since starting solid foods it is like I am hungry ALL the time. I havn't got a fill yet so I hope that helps. I just am not full with 1/2 or even 1 cup of food. I wonder how much is hunger though and how much is head hunger after being on liquids and mushy food so long. I don't want to stretch out my band and hope I havn't done that yet. Ive lost 17 pounds and gained 4 back after solid food was added. I don't know what is wrong with me. I went through this whole ordeal that was and is my last straw attempt to lose weight and I feel I am sabitoging myself. I ate a whole bowl of popcorn which Im not supposed to ever have but I had eaten popcorn everyday prior to surg and Havn't had it for a month and felt like a drug addict having withdralls from crack or something. I felt I needed that popcorn and was going to have it no matter what. Well I did It tasted good and did not bother me physically but mentally I am now sooo ashamed of myself. I need some encouragment or something to get through this. Please let me know did you have struggles like this? Did you ever cheat post band? Does this mean Im doomed to fail AGAIN at this? Please let me know how did you do this and get rid of the emotional eating problem. Sorry for the venting but I needed to tell someone and couldnt talk to my family about this or anyone else. I need to talk to others that have been or are going through this battle of weight loss. Thanks for listning. Love Deann

I was just banded Sept 16 2009 and feel sick to my stomach the last 2 days. Also I have these large ? gas bubbles that are round and hard by my insisions its like a babys foot or something pushing out of my stomach. Really weird feeling. I tried yest to eat a tiny little bite of scrambled egg and almost threw up but ran and took some antinausia medicine and was able not to. Im wondering if I made the right decision doing this. I hope it is going to get better soon. I hate to feel like Im always on the verge ov throwing up. could use some advice.

I am so so happy for you. You seem like such a nice person. I just had mine done 5 days ago. Not sure how much I can eat without getting sick. I tried to eat a small bite of a scrambled egg and got very nausous, so I took the meds the Dr gave me that prevent you from getting sick. I guess I have to learn by trial and error. It has only been 5 days so I have a lot to learn. I hope I do as good or even half as good as you do. God bless you and your family. Deann

Hi just noticed you were on the mushy stage which means you must have just had surg I have mine in 3 days. How are you feeling since surg are you back to work yet and how are you handling it. Im getting nervous about my surg so just want to see how others are doing that have recently got the band and if they are happy with it.

How did you get the ticker think with you weight loss and all to come up I cant seem to do it

I wish I just had a 3 day diet instead of 2 week. Im so glad your doing well. My surg is Sept 16th

Let me know what Protien shakes any of you find that are good. Do any of you feel as if your taste has changed after surg?

Im still on 2 week liquid diet and am having great trouble NOT thinking of food right now I hope this 2 weeks goes fast. Im so so happy all of you earlier Sept bandsters are doing well hare to believe after surg you say you have not much of an appitite because Im starving now. BooCakes, My surgery is also on Sept 16th Im starting the 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. I hope I get through it. Im just trying to remind myself I have to. Im so sick of being overweight I hope this helps I feel it has to. Please let me know how your doing and email me anytime if you need encouragment I know I will need it and that is why Im so happy I found this site and people like you to talk to.
