My pre-op diet started today 3/18 anc consists of Bariatric Advantage shake for breakfast and lunch. If I want a AM snack it is to be 6 oz tomato juice or low cal vit c fruit juice. At night I can make dinner or some of the low card ww meals, lean cruisine, etc. PM snack can be 1 oz cheese and fruit, or yogurt and nuts, or another protein shake. I was a bit hungry come dinner time tonight but I think this will be liveable. Only 26 more shakes still surgery.

I am having a hard time deciding which band to go with. My doctor said he will do whichever I want. I have been reading and can't decide. Does anybody want to sway me in their direction? My doctor liked the port and the website support better with realize band but hasn't done one yet. I would be his first. Would that be scary or not to be first? I am a Libra and weigh things carefully but I just don't have that tip of the scale in either direction. I need to decide this week. Sherry

Which band are you going with, realize or lapband?

I went for my consult yesterday and saw the dietician. I need to choose between the realize band and the lap band. Are your doctors giving you a choice? My pre-op is fairly easy, 2 Protein shakes, a ww meal, a couple Snacks. I can live with it except I can't find some of the foods required like sugar free popsicles, sugar free yogurt, and the meals in the calorie/carb content they suggest. I did however, get my chewable Vitamins this morning and a new pair of pj's for the surgery day but might not wear them. Kind of funky to be going to the hospital in pjs, I think. How is everyone else doing? Sherry

I think it is neat that we have a SPRING date and and a new beginning on life with our lapbands. I could use some daffadils here, maybe I will buy some to remind me of this awesome journey ahead.

I like that name the shamrockers. Is there anyway we can group together to email, chat, etc. without doing it on an individual basis. Or should we just continue to come back to this thread?

I believe it stands for one under 200 mark meaning back at 1++ in weight. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
