  1. Angela, I mean the needle sticks from my two fills. I can still see the tiny mark. BTW girls... I'm a drunky drunk girl right now. Last week before NOLA... Yikes. Happy hour started at like 5pm, and I'm getting home now and it's 130. Yikes! However, based on my PM weigh, hopefully I should be down a lb or so tomorrow, so my tradition of drinking too much wine = weight loss is in tact. Also... we should talk about next Tuesday.. I realized I am supposed to meet w/ my work girls for another happy hour.... which sometimes lasts until 130. Usually we go to the Brooksider bc we get free drinks (tab for 8 hours = $9). So maybe we could meet at slider if I can't make it to Buca? (Too drunk ) We can talk manana. But also all girls know about my WLS so openness is ok - I talked a lot about wt. tonight. Ok too drunky to continue - g'night girls. xoxo
  2. Ok girls... so my new strapless bra has been bugging me... I kept on thinking, "it feels like its hitting an incision," but my incision is about 2 inches below where it hits. Then I looked closer, and I can see the two needle sticks from before right hwere it hits. So it's hitting my port! So for now I'm just hiking it up. It can't do anything, right? Cynthia.... I am so sorry. Hoepfully you can get Dr H & Billie to really battle for you. Keep on appealing as many times as you can. They really want you to succeed, and I'm sure they'll help as much as is possible.
  3. Woohoo congratulations!!!
  4. Ok now I'm back down to 269... Only 1 more lb. to go until I'm back to where I should be Doing 30 minutes of laps plus an hourlong swim aerobics class last night must have helped. Plus first day in a long time NO SNACKING. Hopefully I'm turning things around for myself :girl_hug:
  5. Since banding 5/2/06, I have lost 25.875 inches (I think, I may measure incorrectly), 5.5 in the last month. That, and I need to stop weighing daily!
  6. Cyn- I picked a ticker here: http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tracker/ (there are other places) then when you are done, copy the code from the FIRST box in your signature. You access your signature by going to "User CP" then "Edit signature". Just paste it in there, and preview it to see if it looks right!
  7. C 272 (+4 lbs. emmereffer) Honeymoon's over I think its finally getting to the point where I have to stop/slow on weighing.
  8. I really like this cookbook. I constantly have the "asian sauce" on hand for my tuna steaks!
  9. It actually has 5 calories per serving. Not a dealbreaker, but still
  10. Hey girls know I haven't been on much, been busy, trying to get ready for NOLA. I hit up the LB sale today. I got a pair of jeans (sz. 20), and 3 tops (sz. 18/20, sz. 18, and sz 14/16). Hopefully it will be one of my last trips to LB (I am trying to survive on very, very little clothing)
  11. I would recommend to be banded by Dr. Hoehn. I felt completely comfortable knowing he was operating on me, and I haven't had any problems with my post-op care.
  12. Keep in mind that some of these (the chocolate bars in particular) are high-fat, so they are not to be constantly eaten. But I tried the chocolate w/ almonds tonight and thought it was good. No sugar or sugar alcohols! http://www.eatwellbewell.com/index.htm
  13. Robyn I'm glad everything went well at your surgery. You have a lot of healing to do, so I hope you take it easy. I know the stress of all the pain and surgeries must have made things more difficult and stressful for you. Hopefully now you can just breathe out a big sigh of relief and let positivity reign
  14. funny my stats should be: Pfunkem - H 333/ S 315/ J 288/ G 180/ C 268 (-65 lbs total, -4 this week)
  15. Forever-21 is a really cheap "normal" size store. Glad to hear today went well, Holli, Cynthia - I'll be thinking of you. Have a good 4th.
  16. Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Yes to all.
  17. :focus: You all get to see me again!
  18. Yeah I also remember the feeling of eating so much you would be sick to your stomach, and have to lie down. And it would last for hours, it seemed. I don't ever want to feel that again.
  19. I was a total carbaholic. A few years ago, I just gave up. I ate basically nothing but junk food - pizza most every day, chips, bagels. I would occasionally try to eat a little healthier, but I would never make the commitment. If I wasn't going to commit to eating healthier, I might as well not try to choke down chicken once a month, just eat the pizza. I was also a carb-binger. I would buy a half-dozen bagels and eat them all by the end of the day. I also was incredibly inactive. And the more I did these things, the fatter I got, and the fatter I got, the more I did them.
  20. I think it is supposed to be made available next year, but definitely ask your doctors! I know it is FDA-approved, so the wait should be short.
  21. BTW... Anyone else considering hitting up the LB sale this weekend? It's like Forever-21 prices. I'm not in 20s yet, but my 22s are getting a little bit looser, so I might go see what they have. I'm clothesless wonder nowadays, so I will need some necessities.
  22. Oh Robyn Robyn Robyn I am soooooooo sorry. I honestly don't even know what else to say. I'm sorry. Good luck.
  23. Yeah, I didn't want to jump in too early, but I am totally for the vaccine. Obviously some people are either against it or wary of it, because it vaccinates against an STD. My mom had cervical cancer 13 years ago. Why let your daughter suffer because you're afraid a vaccine might make her have sex? (which it still doesnt make her sterile, or invulnerable to other STDs)
  24. The FDA approved a vaccine, targeted to women between the ages of 9 and 26, that would protect them from HPV, which is a leading cause of cervical cancer. They are recommending that most girls get the vaccine at ages 11-12 (before they are sexually active). Any thoughts? Link to MSNBC story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/13612899/
  25. Days 1-3 clear liquids Days 4-7 full liquids Day 8 Start incorporating solids (soft foods at first)
