    I love how you all get on your "soap box" and criticize a person without knowing them. Also, I am a nurse and am fully aware of side effects, risks, and benefits. You are just one person with a unique life, you know what you can and can't do and what works best for you. That's great. Unfortunately for me, I work full-time (3, 12 hour shifts) plus go to school full time to further my education, plus have 2 children, and a husband that depend on me. If you have never been through nursing school, that in itself is an ordeal...now add everything i have to deal with on top of that. I am online here at work and as a nurse on an average shift I walk about 3+ miles in 12 hours. So I think I get all the exercise I can handle at the moment. 7 days a week I am doing something. So please, don't judge a book by it's cover, perhaps if you had known all that you wouldn't have been so harsh to criticize my PERSONAL decision made with my doctor to achieve my weight loss goals. I wish you all the success you deserve.

    Meridia and the band.

    My Dr. just prescribed me Meridia today. I have been banded since 2/16/09. I have only lost 50lbs. This is due to my lack of exercise however he knows what a full schedule I have and really am not capable of adding more to it right now. I will update you as I see results or feel any unpleasant side effects.
  6. Hey girl, I started at 255lbs. So far it has been just a little over a year an I have only lost 50 lbs. I must add though that I do not have time to exercise. So all of this is just appetite control. I am sure if I had the time to exercise I would be hitting that goal of 80lbs or more. I am disappointed, but I know I am not using this tool to the full 100% yet. Once I get done with school I plan on hitting the gym. Also, just today I spoke with my Dr. who understands my extremely demanding schedule and has prescribed me Meridia. I will let you know how that goes if it adds to my weight loss and update you as soon as I see some results.

  8. Wow! You've lost so much more! Very pretty! I'm losing slow too! Way slower than you, so don't feel too bad. I'm at 208, fluctuating up and down from 204. Trying to get down to 200, it's goin real slow but I will get there!

  9. i go to fill centers usa who uses the austin radiology clinic off braker lane + mopac. i am at my max now (only 9cc's) but at least now i feel some restriction. down to 209 now...very far from goal and at my max...but hopefully it will just keep coming off no matter how slow it is

  12. ur gorgeous.. itll come off, just keep working at it.. i had my surgery 7 months ago. im not at my goal yet still have about 20 more to go.. i have lost 110 total with the 10 pre op.

  13. I think your doing great! I'm finding my weight loss to be really slow also!! As long as we keep on losing right??Keep it up u really can see a difference in your before & after pic's!! Teal :)

  14. well to tell you the truth, my weight loss is slow going. but that is my fault. i am in school full time and work full time and have kids, blah blah u know the story so basically i have been working out none-minimal. if i would have the time to work out it really would increase my weight loss. i know when i do get into the habit it comes off faster. as far as what i am eating....i drink a protein shake in the morning. i dont have any bread or pastas (doesnt go down my band anyways). i like to eat any kinds of beans and protein meat like chicken or tuna togther. i eat alot of soups (usually progresso, they seem to taste the best to me). anyway before, i hated really eating healthy. but i have found stuff in all of these catagories that cater to my preferences (italian and mexican flavors). and really, when you feel sick and crappy after eating stuff you should't, it makes it motivation to stay away from the bad foods.
