  1. I love how you all get on your "soap box" and criticize a person without knowing them. Also, I am a nurse and am fully aware of side effects, risks, and benefits. You are just one person with a unique life, you know what you can and can't do and what works best for you. That's great. Unfortunately for me, I work full-time (3, 12 hour shifts) plus go to school full time to further my education, plus have 2 children, and a husband that depend on me. If you have never been through nursing school, that in itself is an ordeal...now add everything i have to deal with on top of that. I am online here at work and as a nurse on an average shift I walk about 3+ miles in 12 hours. So I think I get all the exercise I can handle at the moment. 7 days a week I am doing something. So please, don't judge a book by it's cover, perhaps if you had known all that you wouldn't have been so harsh to criticize my PERSONAL decision made with my doctor to achieve my weight loss goals. I wish you all the success you deserve.
  2. My Dr. just prescribed me Meridia today. I have been banded since 2/16/09. I have only lost 50lbs. This is due to my lack of exercise however he knows what a full schedule I have and really am not capable of adding more to it right now. I will update you as I see results or feel any unpleasant side effects.
  3. hello girls, i was just wondering how much did you weight when you were able to fit into a size L comfortably?? i am getting the pounds off, very slowly...i dont even think its the band anymore i think its just my eating habits, but slowly n surely they are coming off..anyway the point i'm tyring to get at is that i want to go on a major shopping spree. .like...MAJOR and i want to do it in one of my favorite stores Metropark. They only go up to size L pretty much for women's clothing. All I can buy now is jewelry and lust in my heart after their jeans n tee's lol...so how much realistically do i have to lose to get there??? Its taking me FOREVER....
  4. well ladies my weight loss is super slow!!! i find i can still eat big amounts if i want to so the next time i go for a fill i am going to make sure that there isn't a leak or something b/c supposedly i have 7cc's...i shouldn't be eating as much as i do then. anyways, a little victory is that i fit into a size 16 today!!!! i havn't been in a pair of those in over 3 years!!!
  5. maybe coochini works like magic like hoodini??? lol makes ur coochie disappear??? lol idk!!! btw....cougar cup size... thats what i'm talkin bout lol...RaWwRRr hahahaa
  6. lol learn somethin' new everyday haha
  7. well it's accurate lol
  8. It's when you see women's private area through their clothes, like if their pants are too high and tight or they aren't wearing underwear. You can see the slit inbetween your vaginal lips thorugh the clothes. Click Here for Example: http://www.derober.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/britney-spears-camel-toe.jpg
  9. LMAO!! Okay, I am a big fan of Chelsea Lately and last night I happened to be watching where they brought up the topic on this new device for women who have serious camel toe!!! LOL!!! It's called the Coochini! I couldn't believe it was actually a real product but it is!!! It looks like the shape of a bicycle seat but of course it's flat and supposed to fit I guess in your underwear??? I really don't know but if I had lips that big I think I would seek professional help lol
  10. Wow how did you grow so much taller than him? That's kinda how I feel too, the tall part is only 1/2 the problem, the fat problem is what makes it just feel like I tower over everyone. But, as I lose the weight it feels better in them when I go out and I think the next step is buying some of those slide in gel thingies so I can just wear em longer!!!
  11. Has anyone tried those Carmen Elektra strip tease workouts???
  12. Holy cow have you lost alot of weight!!! I can't wait till I can fit into a size 12! I keep losing the weight in my back, butt, and thighs and upper stomach (like beneath my breasts) but this gut is just here!! I hate it!! When I buy clothes they will fit great around my legs and butt but my gut sticks out, if I buy bigger size my gut is ok but they look so baggy everywhere else...it sucks!
  13. PRAISE THE LORD!!! I have finally started dropping again after I got this 2nd fill and getting back on the elliptical. I am so happy I hardly want to post this incase I gain it back loL!! But I am down 5lbs...I hope to lost another 5 by June. *crosses fingers*
  14. Thanks everyone for your help and advice! Is the sliming the foods we eat or the amount of the bite??? I have been trying both to figure out which foods won't go down (like bread, tortillas, anything like that) and I have also been trying to chew really well. So far it's helped alot.
  15. I havn't lost a damn thing!!! I did get down to 228 (Below 230 for the 1st time in some YEARS!) but it came right back b/c I have to admit I was a little bad this past weekend when my highschool BFF came to visit me from out of town and of course I had to show her around and have acouple drinks...so I am disappointed in myself for not sticking to what I normally do and I feel like a loser and like this wont even help me either...but I get my second fill next week and I hope to get back on track. THIS IS HARD!!!! I thought I would be down to around 220 or so by summer....guess not
  16. Gross!!!! Oh my gosh I see what you all are talking about now!!! It felt horrible!!! The only thing I don't get is why am I having this problem right now? I am about 3 weeks post of my 1st fill and didn't have any problems before. Now all of a sudden I just almost slimed myself to death. I ate a very small bbq hamburger...no bun or anything. I have eaten hamburgers before but not bbq idk if thats the difference or what. It hurt tho, like something was stuck and then all of a sudden...well...u know the rest...
  17. Thanks everyone for the comments!!! I'm gonna go shopping this weekend for some new pumps and get whatever cute ones I can manage to stand in for more than an hour!!! LOL!!
  18. So I LOVE lOve love LOVEEEE high heels. But *sigh* I'm 5'7. This is no big deal if you have a tall man in your life, but for me...I feel like I TOWER over everyone else when I rock the stiletto's. I try to find cute pumps w/ low heels but do you know how hard that is??? Seriously....super frustrating!!! How many of you long legged girls out there don't care and feel comfortable in high heels?
  19. To me the lapband is in no way the easy way out. I was recently banded and still fight my food demons. Just because there is restriction does not mean you don't want to eat the same type of foods. You have to consciously make an effort every time you put something into your mouth to make it a healthy choice and abide by the rules of the band. Or else it won't be successful either. I am super afraid to fail at this too. This was the last chance and I am struggeling and learning every step of the way so far. What I would do is let it go in one ear and out the other, we do this as a last resort and for ourselves. Morons like that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.
  20. wow thank you all so much!!! I am happy that I am not the only one who thinks this amount is a little ridiculous but I questioned myself since I am new to this whole lifestyle. I was banded in Mexico and my Dr. there gave me a diet until week 6. Then I was on my own. I went and got filled through Fill Centers USA and they EMPHASIZE through all of their literature and their Dr's that 1/4 is the way to go. So I was confused. But thanks to this website, I am glad you all are here for me!
  21. Brad, thanks for your input. I have also been told to eat frequent smaller meals to keep metabolism up. Instead, if I don't I think my body just clings to the food I do get and stores it. I think I will try this approach. Of course my caloric intake won't be as high as yours since my workout right now consists of a treadmill for 30min lol but, I think the concept is right for me.
  22. Thank you all for the posts!!! I was starting to get worried like there was something wrong w/ me. I can eat about a cup of food right now, but notice I need to keep a better track of the type of foods I'm eating.
  23. I am there with you! I totally consider this the last resort and am desperately afraid to fail at this too. I have alot of high hopes riding on this thing but I am trying to keep it in perspective and know its just one day at a time. We will pass this bump in the road together
