Today I'm going in for my second fill! I already have 1cc in my band from my first fill and I'm hoping he adds another cc today! When I went in for the first fill I was down about 18lbs (about 3 weeks after surgery), and today I'm down 30lbs! the first fill didn't go so well, Doc couldn't find the center of my band so there was a lot of poking and moving...OUCH! Hoping I have better luck today! Wish me luck!! :frown:
  2. I am SO thankful that I read your post! I'm also able to eat a lot and swallow easily and it's making it very hard to stop eating when I don't feel full. I actually can't wait for my first fill but I'm scared of it too. lol I'm just glad you posted this because it's what I needed to hear (or see). Thank you!!
  3. Hey...I totally understand EVERYTHING you just said. I had my surgery on the 12th and I still have pain where the port is but it's A LOT better. I'm actually about to start doing Zumba soon, I just want this pain to go away before I start. I started mushy foods on the 7th day (my nutritionist said it was okay) because I was feeling so hungry. I did fine, I'm actually eating pretty much anything now...the only problem I have had is with bread and chicken. Oh man when the chicken got stuck I had horrible pain in my back and my chest! OH and don't be dumb like me and drink something when that happens! lol NOT COOL! I have lost 17lbs since the pre op diet/ surgery and I'm not losing anymore so I can't wait for my first fill! I really want to get to that "sweet spot" asap...I know I need to be patient, I just have pretty much no restriction so I can eat a lot right now and I hate it! I know I'll get there eventually though. My nutritionist also said when the doctor starts putting saline in the band I'll probably have more problems with food so that's the only thing I'm not looking forward to...food getting stuck sucks! Anyhoo I wish you luck!
  4. I actually called my surgeon and He wanted me to come in yesterday. He's going to do an ultrasound and a urinalysis...they are going to call today to schedule. They just want to check out my band and my gallbladder. He said more than likely everything is fine. Fingers crossed! Thanks!!
  5. I was thinking it was gas but MAN gas can't be trapped for that long right? lol Not to be gross or anything but I have been going to the bathroom normal and everything...I'm pretty worried about it. I'm hoping it goes away soon! I don't want to have problems with this surgery... :tongue2:

Thanks everyone! You were right...surgery went great! lol I'm so happy I made this decision!
  7. Hey everyone... I had My Lap Band surgery almost two weeks ago and on Friday I was almost feeling like Me again. The only pain I had was when I would bend down and lay on my right side (it was burning & pulling) but the doctor said this was normal and it will go away. So Saturday morning I woke up with this horrible sharp pain in My right side, it was so bad I was rolling around on my bed crying. I know that sounds silly but that's how bad it was. My husband helped me get up and sit in the recliner and it felt better sitting up. The pain was/is still there but not as bad. The only way to describe the way it feels is like a knife is in my side and when I sit it's painful but not as bad as when I move, when I move it's more like the knife is twisting. It also hurts when I breathe in deep or yawn. Today is Monday and the pain is still the same. Also it's not right where the port is, it's lower and closer to my side...I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? :tongue2: Thanks
  8. My surgery is on May 12th...Yep, 6 days! I went to pre op yesterday & I'm starting to get nervous! I think the thing that scares me the most is the anesthesia. My mom thinks that's funny, but seriously! I'm scared! lol I have this fear that I won't wake up or something...I know it's silly but I'm just being honest! Anyway I don't really know how to feel right now, I'm super excited that it's finally here but I'm worried as well. Wish me luck guys!

  11. Hey everyone! My name is Lacey & I am going to get the Lap Band very soon!! I have been going through this 8 month process, I had to do a 6 month diet for my insurance company and a few things have held me back a bit but I'm happy to say I'm going to Pre op on April 15th!! I'm very nervous about everything...I'm scared of the surgery itself and I'm worried about after the surgery, will I be successful? I have done my research but of course there are those scary stories but I'm definitely going to move forward and get R' done! :smile2: I can't wait to post updates!!! Wish Me luck!!!
