  1. Congratulations on your approval. I'm sure you will continue to have a positive experience at Magee. Since I am ahead of both of you (Mr. Green or Culpner) in the process, if there is any questions or concerns I can help you with let me know. Renee
  2. I had my surgery at Magee. I didn't have any problems there, the doctors and nurses were great. I asked because I have a friend who was going to AGH and her doctor moved (or is in the process of moving) to Magee right toward the end of her 6 month supervised diet visits with her PCP. Renee
  3. Congratulations! I am a teacher from the Pittsburgh area too and was banded just before Christmas break. I've lost about 45lbs and am doing well. I think you'll be thrilled with your decision. Good luck with your journey. By chance did you have to move from AGH to Magee?
  4. Hello, I also have severe left shoulder pain. The pain comes and goes and is so bad that it stops me in my tracks and could bring me to my knees.( I know that sounds dramatic but it is true) I move around, use a heaing pad, moist heat, cold, you name it. I was banded on 12/19 and have had several conversations about this with my doctor. I am very upset about this pain. It seems the only thing I can do is learn some way to manage it. I feel like this is never going to go away. I'm sorry for your pain, but I am comforted in the fact that I am not the only one. Keep us posted on your progress and If anyone has any more advice on how to manage this I would also appreciate it.
  5. Happy New Year! I was banded on December 19th and I’m excited to join your group. So far all is well except for my swollen port that gives me a little discomfort especially when sitting up for awhile. I was allowed to start soft/pureed foods today but was afraid to. I’m going to try again tomorrow. It is really comforting to read how you all are adjusting to the new lifestyle. Looking foreword to your support. :tt2:
