Newbie-

Hi Everyone!

I have just finished my 6 month diet. I have to change hospitals though, my surgeon moved to a different one. I am planning to have surgery in June, I'm a teacher and want to wait until school is out. I'll be looking for helpful hints and other information too!

Congratulations! I am a teacher from the Pittsburgh area too and was banded just before Christmas break. I've lost about 45lbs and am doing well. I think you'll be thrilled with your decision. Good luck with your journey. By chance did you have to move from AGH to Magee?

Hi Renee,

I did have to move to Magee...well, I guess I didn't have to, but chose to move. I have talked with a few folks on OH and they said they really liked it there. Where did you have yours?

Cindy

I had my surgery at Magee. I didn't have any problems there, the doctors and nurses were great. I asked because I have a friend who was going to AGH and her doctor moved (or is in the process of moving) to Magee right toward the end of her 6 month supervised diet visits with her PCP.

Renee

I can say that my experience with Magee has been great so far. I have been approved for the Band and I'm waiting for a surgery date after finishing my 6 months with them.

Congratulations on your approval. I'm sure you will continue to have a positive experience at Magee. Since I am ahead of both of you (Mr. Green or Culpner) in the process, if there is any questions or concerns I can help you with let me know.

Renee
