What is your BMI and where are you located. If there is a MTF that dose Lapband all you need is your Dr to send a referal and BMI over 40. I have triwest my self. I have not been banded yet but I have got everything started.

I got my referral yesterday now I just wait. She had a change of heart I did not even say anything she just gave it to me. I have no dout that this is what i need to do I have lost 100 lbs 3 time is the past 10 year for it all to come back and more. she also said my sugur is in the Diabetic range now. Well I got my referral today when I went in to see my Dr. She had a change of Heart I did not even say anything. she apologized for last week when she just said No. I also found out my sugar is high so it is a good thing I want to do this now before it get bad. I am so happy I am on my way

I am in the same Boat the Dr dose not know me and she said NO I am going in again to give it another try today. I have a BMI of 43 and gain and lost 100s of pounds over the last 10 years. I hope the best for you

I know it is covered 100% I just got the one Dr that think this is not a good thing. I will need to change Dr. It just take so much time. Thank you mountainmomma

My Dr will not reffed me till she know me. How long with that take? I am a military depended and I never see that same Dr. I am going in today to see her again. I hope she will put in the referral so I can get the ball rolling soon. I have 4 months before my hubby leaves and I want to get this done before he is gone.

I know that this is what to do I want I want to get the lap band. I need to lose 146 lbs . I need to get health for me and my family. I am a military depended and I have tricare prime. I don’t really know my Dr because they just send me to who ever is working really. I am scared that when I ask for the referral she will say No to me. Has this happened to anyone else. How did you ask your DR ?

I am also a BMI of 43 fighting with the diet train my whole life. I like the lap band because it is the less risky surgery. I want to lose but I also want to live. This is a great place to get your info needed to decide Band or bypass. :wink_smile:

Get Banded and Never look at size 22 again.

Hello , I am going to be a 2009 Banded for sure. I am just getting started. I have been Up and Down my whole life losing over 100 LBS 3 time. I want to losse it for the last time. I am in pain every day of my life. My back hurts after standing in one place for 15 minutes from all the weght and I have a bad knee. I have a BMI of 43 at age 30. I know if i don't do this now I will have more problems very soon. I have tricare Prime so i know I will have no problem getting the surgery here in San Diego at the MTF. I would love to buddy up with other starting on the journey to a better thinner life.
