  1. volleyballover, it sound like you don't have enough restriction. How many ccs do you have and what size band? It wouldn't surprise me if you need a few more fills. It took me 5 fills to finally get restriction. How many have you had?
  2. Good luck with your surgery. I live in Gilroy, CA. I love being banded.
  3. Kerri, you should find that you will not need as much alcohol to get a buzz. I drink too. It does slow your weight loss down considerable. I averge 1-2 lbs per week and drink at least 1 drink a day.
  4. Jacki, I live in San Jose, CA and I too have United Healthcare. They didn't require a 6 month supervised diet. It took me 6-8 week so get through all the appointments and through surgery. Good luck.
  5. Darnell, I've been banded 16 months and I'm down 65 lbs so far. The hunger is gone completely. I can go hours before eating. I have heard good results of lapband over bypass. Good luck.
  6. Rumar, yes that is restriction. Isn't it great!
  7. Good for you. Its such a relief to have restriction.
  8. They can fill you with a thicker solution so you don't lose your fill. I would ask for that.
  9. If you are starving I would move to creamy soups. If it goes through a straw you can have it.
  10. It took me 5 fills to finally get restriction.
  11. Chris, glad to hear everything went well. Congrats on your upcoming surgery.
  12. Its funny with fills. Sometimes .2 even helps. I would go back in and get a fill. It may only take a little bit.
  13. Good for you! Congrats.
  14. No worries, you aren't doing and damage. Try and keep food servings to 1 cup and 1200 calories a day.
  15. It took me 5 fills to finally feel restriction.
  16. To the woman who could eat 3 slices of pizza. Keep going back until you can only eat 1/2 a slice. You have no restriction.
  17. Drugs, lots of drugs. Ask for a pill when you get to the hospital. I felt much better.
  18. I know you you feel. My top weight was 320 preband. I am down down to a size 18 and 218. I love being banded. Have you just started looking into it?
  19. NSV is non scale victory. ie. losing a clothing size, fitting on an airplane, etc.
  20. Fills are funny. Sometimes .1cc makes a difference. I would go back in and see if .2 or .3 heps you. Good luck.
  21. Jane, glad you got it sorted out. It sure is nice to eat healthy isn't it!?
  22. Sherilynn, I hope you enjoy your vacation. It sounds wonderful. Thankfully I had a slight unfill before my vacation but only gained 2 lbs. I just could go on vacation worrying about PBing and I didn't. Have fun!
  23. Rain, it hasn't happened to me, but I have PBd water before.
  24. I agree with her. Looks like you are doing great without the fill. Too lose will not cause a slip. Good luck.
