  1. Not sure if I am PPO but because my surgeon is out of Network I have to pay $200 a fill and unfill.
  2. I have used GNCs soy based as well as milke based protein shakes. They have roughly 30 grams of protein when taken with a cup of milk. They are really good.
  3. I ate a ton of creamy soups. It really helped with my protein intake too because they were milk based.
  4. I still smoke but I want to quit.
  5. Congrats! Keep up the good work.
  6. I cannot eat scrambled eggs.
  7. Molly, I am so glad to hear you are banded! What a wonderful experience this will be for you. Post when you need support. Its a wonderful forum for you. Best of luck. Good job hitting the 260s! Julie
  8. I always count my fill day as the first day of liquids followed by mushies. If you use the same schedule you can eat mushies for Thanksgiving. Potatoes, stuffing. They will all go down nicely. Good luck and have a great day.
  9. Deb, good for you to admitting it. That is the start. Go back on your post op diet first. Proceed with the threadmill. If you started to smoke again I'm sorry about that. Its a nasty habit to break so good luck.
  10. I buy mine at GNC. They are really good.
  11. Just make sure you eat your turkey first. YOu may not have room for much more! Enjoy the day. It only comes once a year.
  12. I agree with Jack. I too have restriction like you. It is very important to find the balance. If you can lose 1-2 lbs a week eating 1 cup of food I would have an unfill. If not, then this may be your sweet spot. Make sure you get enough protein. I always start my day with a 30 gram protein shake just to make sure. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  13. Interesting how she turned this all about herself. I had something similar although it wasn't related to the lapband. I spent 7 months away from my best girlfriend. We are now talking again and things are a lot healthier between us. Maybe some time away from each other will be healthy for you. Good luck.
  14. It depends on how the next few days go. It sounds like it loosened up enough to eat the bean burrito. If you can still eat like that now you may be okay. If not, you may need a slight unfill. My doctor charges for both. Good luck.
  15. Sounds like you have acid reflux. I would first try an antacid and stop eating like at 5pm with elevated neck. If that doesn't work you may need a slight unfill.
  16. Simply Beautiful out here in CA guarantees a 10"-30" reduction for your first visit. Its only $125. I'm getting one in December.
  17. NO, I used Good Samaritan in San Jose. Here is Doctor McKeen's web site: South Bay Bariatrics & Dr. Robert McKeen
  18. Connie, I don't have one in your area but Dr. McKeen in San Jose is really good : South Bay Bariatrics & Dr. Robert McKeen He is an excellent doctor. Good luck.
  19. I can eat sushi, just not much of it.
  20. Definitley sounds like you need an unfill. I think waiting 8 days is enough.
  21. It took me 5 fills to reach optimal levels. It took me about 6-8 months to finally hit my sweet spot. I lost 1 lb a week average during that time.
  22. My first year I got filled an average of every 8 weeks. Now that I'm on my 2nd year I get fills and unfills about the same. I'm due for a fill now but want to wait it out through the Holidays. I currently maintain.
  23. Jen, you can do this. The first thing I would think about is your restriction level. Do you feel like you need a fill?
  24. What an idiot is all I can say. I love my lapband!
  25. Get a fill! There is nothing like restrictrion.
