  1. Rosa, it sounds like a slip. I would go in for a complete unfill asap. Your band may move back to position. Good luck.
  2. jomac, welcome back. You have done a great job since being banded and losing your baby weight. Good job!
  3. Kimmi, I only put in 3 ice cubes so it will blend nicely and not be too chunky.
  4. I always have dinner done by 5:30. I hear the later you eat the more likely you are to have acid reflux.
  5. I was fat my entire life until about 8th grade. I then started to eat better and exercise. Through high school I was an athlete. After high school I ballooned to 320. I've been banded a year and a half and I am now down to 218. I was 282 when I had surgery. It was the best thing I've ever done. Good luck.
  6. You'll do great. The surgery was a breeze for me.
  7. How exciting. Best of luck to you.
  8. Kristi, just a couple things. If you get enough protein go for it. My doctor is in support of 2 protein shakes a day followed by a smaller dinner. Good luck.
  9. Dab, 100 in 3 month is awesome. And they say when you have that much to lose you should to RYN. You are proof the band works. Good for you and good luck to the other 200 lbs!
  10. Over $40, what a shame . Go figure!
  11. Welcome to bandland!
  12. When I do I wear Spanks which seem to do the trick. You can get them at Lane Bryant.
  13. I start me 3 month Chantax tomorrow. Wish me luck! I've been a smoker for a out 4 years now habitually. I have smoked periodically for 24 years. I am excited about quitting. Anyone else out there?
  14. That is wonderful! My goal is 185 which is still considered overweight. My doctor is fine with that. To be normal I would have to get down to 160ish which is too skinny for me. Good job! I am jealous!
  15. Don't eat if you are not hungry. You will not die. Welcome to lapband.
  16. There are multiple reasons as to why people get fills. 1. they are consuming too much. 2. they are not losing 1-2 lbs per week or 3. they are constantly hungry. If you feel you are doing 1 of these 3 then you need a fill. There is nothing wrong with losing 2 lbs per week. I would ask for a fill.
  17. I can only eat 1/4 to 1/2 of a small cheeseburger from McDonalds. Restriction is the best!
  18. Stress is not your friend sometimes with the band. What you are experiencing is sliming. It happend today to me too and then I had to PB because it got so bad. You are not alone.
  19. I am considered an average loser. I have losat 65 lbs and 65% of my goal weight the first 18 months. My doctor said it takes 2-3 years to typically reach goal. You may end up an average loser at 1-2 lb per week or you may lose more rapidly. It just depends on whether or not you exercise that much. In my case, I do not exercise religiously. Good luck. You can do it!
  20. What you are experiencing is normal when you don't have proper restriction. Bump your fill up if you can. Keep going back until you can only consume a small amount of food, have not as much hunger and are losing 1-2 lbs per week. It took me 5 fills and 6 months to get there. Good luck.
  21. I agree with Chris NJ.
  22. I would ask your doctor. Especially if he said it was really "tight". Could be that he filled it partially during surgery.
  23. mlevel, I typically will wait a week or 2.
  24. I can eat everything except eggs. They always make me PB.
