  1. Katherine, it is quite simple really. Go back in for a fill. If that doesn't work, get another. Don't be shy. Try and eat really healthy protein so it will keep you fuller longer and you will not binge. You can do this. Start today by calling your doctor for another fill. Good luck.
  2. Donna, that is fantastic. Good for you girl!
  3. Sue, our stats are identical. My high was 320 and my surgery was at 282. Sure feels good to be down 100 lbs!
  4. Yesterday my girlfriend Angie gave me some before and after pictures. I believe the first picture was when I was at 308 prior to my preop diet . I was banded at 282. Anyway, long story short. What amazed me most is what a 90 lbs difference makes. I was huge in the pictures . A size 24 I believe. I am now a size 18 at 5'8" tall. I can't believe the difference!
  5. I would go in for another fill. You should be losing 1-2 lbs per week. Good luck.
  6. I would post this under lapband complications or postop. You will get more response there.
  7. Congrats on your surgery this week. YOu will do great!
  8. To me it sure sounds like it will not be covered. Especially since you had Bariatric Surgery.
  9. Sorry to hear about your complications. You should be okay once you start getting fills again. Good luck.
  10. Just an update. I am down to like 1-2 cigarettes a day now. I'm really close to 0! Not to shabby.
  11. Dave, you are doing great. Keep up the good work and have a nice Holiday. Julie
  12. Mine is to lose 30 lbs and hit my goal this year. I also am going to slow down on alcohol.
  13. Good for you! What a great NSV.
  14. Sue, good for you. Keep up the good work!
  15. Truthfully, with good restriction I eat so little that I really only have a choice of healthy foods to ensure I get in all the nutrients that are required. So for me its not a matter of will power. Its more a matter of must.
  16. Cheesecake is the best for you so says my doctor. Enjoy!
  17. CJ, the surgery was a breeze for me. The only discomfort I had was at the port site and some slight nauseau. You can get a perscription for the nauseau if you ask your doctor ahead of time. Good luck to you and welcome to bandland.
  18. I take Zantac almost daily for acid reflux. Unfortunately acid reflux is a by product of being banded. I would call your doctor and see if they should administer you something if you are not sure what to take. Good luck.
  19. Take it easy and be good to yourself. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein. You may also be over exercising so be careful. Good luck to you!
  20. Yes, .1 or .2 can make a difference. I would shoot for either 1.8 or 1.7. Good luck!
  21. Great NSV. Good for you!
  22. I would say just be prepared.
  23. I don't starve myself. While I eat less I always hit my protein alottment for the day too. I love being banded. Its the best thing I've ever done. Good luck.
