  1. First of all, just take a deep breath! Relax, relate and release. Since the new year is coming, try to prioritize things and eliminate all the stress in your life. You are putting your health at risk by stressing out on top of being overweight. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but you have to be strong. What's done is done. I'd hate to see you totally regret going through all this to get the band, then give up. Hang in there. but you have to get a handle on things. Once you have a clear mind, things will come together. It may also help to go and talk to someone like a therapist, just to get things in perspective. Whatever you do, don't bottle your feeling up. That is when we tend to turn to food for comfort. You can do it!
  2. Hello everyone! I just got banded on Monday 12/17. I am excited about what is to come. I am actually anxious to start working out again. I managed to lose 35 pounds before the procedure! I am a little nervous with the holidays coming up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cope with all that holiday food around? I think I subconsciously scheduled my procedure this close to the holiday on purpose. I wanted to see what I was really made of. It would also be such an accomplishment for me to make it through this trying time.
  3. Thank All Of You Ladies For Sharing With Me. I Do Know That My Insurance Covers At 100%. I Only Need To Pay My Deductible. My Pcp Faught W/my Insurance Company Last Year To Cover Visits To A Dietician/nutritionist. Can You Believe They Would Only Pay If I Had A Diagnosis Of Diabetes???? That Is So Insane. So Much For Preventive Care. It Is Odd That They Pay For The Band And Not A Visit To The Nutritionist, But I Am Not Going To Pass Up The Opportunity. Thanks Again Ladies! SVM
