Just Banded!

Hello everyone! I just got banded on Monday 12/17. I am excited about what is to come. I am actually anxious to start working out again. I managed to lose 35 pounds before the procedure! I am a little nervous with the holidays coming up. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cope with all that holiday food around? I think I subconsciously scheduled my procedure this close to the holiday on purpose. I wanted to see what I was really made of. It would also be such an accomplishment for me to make it through this trying time.

Congratulations...

I was on my pre-op diet at Thanksgiving. I just had a spoonful of several different things. Just to get the taste, ya know.

Welcome to the band wagon.

I have a question for Cagstorm, what are you eating? I had my surgery on 11/26 and am really hungry these days... also very nervous. I don't think i've lost anything this week since I went from mushies to food.

SVM, If you were just banded, why would you worry about the holidays? Aren't you on a post op liquid diet? Just follow the rules and remind yourself that you're the "leader of your band" and you can only eat what's approved by the DR.

I was banded 11/27 and I have not had one treat/snack etc that is not allowed. I am helping my band b/c I want to succeed and b/c I'm afraid I'll screw something up, if I don;t obey Doc's orders!

You can do it! Come Jan 1st. when everyone else is starting their new years diets, you'll be a month ahead!
