I had a "nice" little visit to the ER tonight
jfran, when I am stressed I can barely consume liquids especially around the Holidays. I am glad your doctor was so accommodating.

Let's be honest about exercise
I don't exercise regularly and it has affected my rate of lose.

Only 35 or 30 pounds to lose?
jclue, I totally get it. I'm down 107 lbs and feel great. I about 25 lbs from goal but ready for my tummy tuck on 4/21. I am hoping to be at goal and size 14 afterwards.

confusion..
I eat everything, just less of it. You have to sample what works for you. There are no health risks with those food choices.

Newbie from Cali...Time off work and Pain?
Hi Cali Girl, I'm from Gilroy CA. The pain was manageable with liquid Tylenol. If you don't think that is enough you should ask him for a prescription of Tylenol with Codeine.

How long did you have to wait for your first fill?
Mine was at 6 weeks so 8 weeks is a bit longer but not too bad.

How much help at home after surgery?
It took me 2-3 days before I felt like moving around on my own.

To fill or not to fill ... WWYD
That is a tough one. I've been too tight before and haven't had the greatest time on vacation. Depending on how much you can currently eat that would be the factor. If you can eat 1 cup I would get one. If you can only eat 1/2 cup I would not.

Did I eat ok
Up the protein and reduce the carbs. YOu are eating too many carbs.

Rash..under my stomach (apron)
Mine is caused by sweat or water. I have to dry off really well in the shower but it still doesn't prevent it. I would use the Gold Bond daily. Welcome to the land of maybe needing a tummy tuck when you are done with your weight loss. The flab is called a pannus FYI.

come ON! [employer rant]
I had surgery Tuesday and was back to work Monday as well. You will be bored taking 2 weeks off. You really only need 1 week.

I need a REBOOST!
You are on the right track. 3 ccs is not much in a 10cc band. I would first start with a fill. I would then take in liquids then mushies then solids. Sounds like you are motivated too so that is a good thing. Fill is the first thing I would start with. Good luck.

WTH???! 4 yr old weighs 10 pounds - mom charged
Apparently this boy was disabled and ate through a feeding tube. While I don't support child abuse, it is a really sad story all around. The Mother apparently said she wasn't capable of handling this child, thus the issues. I think it is very sad all around. Poor little guy.

WHY? Do I hate myself so much?
I am glad you are feeling better. We are hear to support you. We all have food and body issues so we are no different. Just try and remember how miserable you were at your highest weight and why you elected to have this surgery. You can do it. Good luck.

Nurseamy's tummy tuck/Lipo/Mastopexy
Hi Amy, had a quick question for you. What size were you in preop as opposed to post op? How is your swelling and how long are you postop?
-
emotional outburst 1 day post op
Honey, you have been through a lot emotionally and physically. Take good care of yourself. This is a huge life change.

*sigh* The good and bad of new clothing.
I hear ya. My size 16s are skin tight on me with my pannus. I can't wait to get it removed on the 21st. Most likely that will put me in a size 14.
-
PS Question
I am 30 lbs from goal and having an extended tummy tuck with lipo. He said that 30 lbs would not make that big of a difference. I can't want to have the pannus removed.

New fill
I agree with Grace. If liquids are trailing down a little slower that is a good sign of restriction. The key are solids. If you can consume 1-3 oz of solids and not PB you are in good shape. When you move to solids make sure your pieces are very small and you chew well. Good luck.

Dr. said I need to diet
One way to look at it is caloric intake. How many calories a day are you consuming? A bandster usually eats 800 (low side) to 1200. Are you able to consume big portions of food. If so, then you may need another fill. Also, if you are really hungry.
