  1. Hare, I haven't gone through this but I wish you luck with your unfill. Hope you feel better.
  2. I love green tea frappacinos but they are really fattening.
  3. Way to go. Congrats!
  4. sounds like you need a slight unfill.
  5. If you haven't gotten a fill yet it is normal to eat a cup. If 1/4 cup doesn't fill you up I would try 1/2 cup. Good luck.
  6. I would start with a fill first.
  7. Go get a fill right away. That will help
  8. Claudine, when you get good restriction you will lose.
  9. Lisa, congrats on the weight loss. You are doing fantastic!
  10. Welcome! Good luck with your surgery.
  11. With 125 more to go I would definitely opt for the surgery. Hopefully your taste will come back. Do you smoke?
  12. I forgive myself for a lot of things including infidelity 2 years ago. My husband and I are doing great now and he has forgiven me. I forgive myself for abusing my body for so many years. I am happier now 15 lbs from goal.
  13. Nettie, I hear you about our parents. When I was skinny mom Mom would say you look good except for your thighs. I was in a size 14 at 5'8" tall. I would go buy one nice new outfit, get a pedicure, maybe a massage. You can do this. Its all in your head. Love yourself the way you are. There are some really cute bathing suits for any size. You should definitely get one and go to the pool. Take some good before and after pictures and post them. We are here for you.
  14. I would either count calories or join Weight Watchers. If you eat 20 points on weight watchers its 1k a day. You should be able to lose 10 lbs. in 30 days.
  15. Lisa, you need another fill. This happens over time especially if you are losing. Good luck.
  16. Jessica, I have been banded 2 years and love my band. The only thing I can tell you is that you have to be patient to find the right level of restriction. Also, the 1-2 lbs a week is about average. Especially if you don't exercise a lot. I do PB occassionally but love my restriction level. I am rarely hungry which is a help. Good luck to you on your journey.
  17. Marion, are you still on antibitoics? Will a nose spray help? I would wait until early July to change your mind. How much more weight do you have to lose?
  18. Nettie, it really comes down to loving yourself at any weight. Do you think you need some counseling? What if you buy some cute new outfits to wear. Will that help? Love yourself.
  19. Are you on liquids or mushies yet? If you are on liquids try creamy soups. If you are on mushies try chili, tuna sald or chicken salad.
  20. Congrats on your impending surgery. You will love being banded.
  21. This is my 2 year band anniversary. I am now 15 lbs from goal with 75% of my weight gone for good. I love my lapband!
  22. Lapband is great. I've been banded years and have lost 70 lbs. I am 15 lbs from goal. You will enjoy food more. You will not be as hungry and food will satisify you more while you lose! Its the best thing I've ever done.
  23. I have been banded 2 years. I was banded at 285 and am down to 215. I have 15 lbs until goal. My lapband surgeon said I am a success at 75% weight loss. I had a tummy tuck 6 weeks ago and feel good. I started in a size 24 and now wear a size 16. I am 5'8 and am happy at that size. One day I may get down to 185 but for now I am happy at 200 lbs. Thanks for the post.
  24. Yes, I discussed this with my surgeon recently. Its 60% lapband the first year and 80-85% gastic bypass the first year. At year 3 it comes out to about 60-65% for both. Most gastic bypass patients gain back 20-25%. Some people do say lapband is 50%. I'm at 70% year 2. Good luck and I hope this helps.
  25. As a matter of fact, yesterday at 3pm I was starving and went through the McDonald's drive through and bought a double cheeseburger. I at it all over the course of 3 hours. It does happen. Move on.
