  1. I can't eat lunchmeat either. It has to be solid turkey breast. Julie
  2. I can eat rice without a problem.
  3. Kimber, you are going to love being banded. It will change your life. Congrats on getting approved. Julie
  4. 396power, that is fantastic news. What are your stats? How much do you want to lose? I'm considered an average loser at 1 lb a week. It really adds up though. I'm happy with my 52 lbs in 10 months. I'll take it. Best of luck. Julie
  5. Teri, I have heard this condition from several patients after being banded. It just didn't happen to me. Sometimes my restriction will show in the chest, but not very often. You are probably just swollen.
  6. Anniejo, congrats on getting your lapband. Now is the time to heal. Good luck.
  7. It depends on if your insurance has any preop requirement. I had to go to a nutrionist, psych eval and blood work. It took me 6-8 weeks to get through all of it. Julie
  8. Good luck with your interview and lapband process. It is totally worth it in the end. Julie
  9. Sounds like you definitely need another fill. It took me 5 fills to get to optimal fill level. Don't be shy. Call your doctor and schedule it. Julie
  10. Crishell, glad you got through your fill okay. Hopefully the 2nd will not be as bad.
  11. Are you on a very low or non fat diet? Fat contributes to how the brain functions. I went on a fat free diet one time and I remember how much it affected my mind. Julie

Good job on finding your restriction. 3/4 a taco is perfect. Julie

  15. Jules, sorry this happened to you. I wonder if you were just too tight from the beginning or something? Sounds like the band wasn't placed correctly or something. You lost a ton of weight so fast, OMG. Hope you do well on WW and with Curves. Good luck. Julie
  16. I would call your doctor regarding being tight in the chest. It is probably swelling or something. It also may be a sign of your restriction too. Do you get it without even eating? The sore port is common. I had that. Julie
  17. Hi welcome to lapband talk forum. If you have any questions just ask away. Julie
  18. I hear you. I really feel like this last 10 months while possibly a little easier just because I'm not as hungry has been difficult. I hate not being able to eat larger quantities of food. I finally lost a few lbs this week but I've really had to work hard on the exercise and calorie counting to do it. I've lost 52 lbs in 10 months. I wouldn't say that is fast at all. That is average. I need to really move my butt now for the rest of my weight to come off. This definitely isn't easy. Julie
  19. Healthyny, your doctor is correct sa well as the nurse. When the pouch is full it moves out of the pouch at a slower rate thus you feel full faster. That is why it is very important to eat solid protein. It sits in the pouch the best and has the highest rate of holding. Mushies and liquids move right through. Julie
  20. Great pics. Thanks for the share.
  21. Lauren, you are a hard and dedicated student. Hope you get through your preso okay.
  22. I would love to sit down and eat an entire 12" long Subway sandwich. I miss them terribly.
  23. LeeAnn, I know how exciting it is. Good for you! Congrats. Julie
  24. Angela, it isn't a waste of money to get a fill. You should like you don't have the proper restriction thus the weight gain. I would suck it up and go back to the surgeon. You will fail if you don't take control now. Julie
  25. Regina, I totally threw up when I had to have my gall bladder removed. You probably have a few stones stuck in the bile duct. Julie
