:) Hi everyone! I am going to see a doctor at Vanderbilt University for the lap band surgery. I am only 4'7" and weigh 200 lbs:mad: I called my insurance and they said that they pay 100% after a $500 deduct. I was wondering how long is the wait once you see the md to have the surgery?

Any other advice you can give me?

Thanks,

Tamara

There's no way to answer this. It depends completely on too many variables - how busy/far booked your surgeon is, what your insurance requires, what you're able to accomodate, what your program consists of, etc. Sorry.

It depends on if your insurance has any preop requirement. I had to go to a nutrionist, psych eval and blood work. It took me 6-8 weeks to get through all of it. Julie

Thanks everyone! I go to my seminar on April 24th and to see the Nurse Practioner on June 9th. I'm anxious to hear what they have to say.

Thanks Again

Tamara:)
