  2. Hi everyone! I am going to see a doctor at Vanderbilt University for the lap band surgery. I am only 4'7" and weigh 200 lbs:mad: I called my insurance and they said that they pay 100% after a $500 deduct. I was wondering how long is the wait once you see the md to have the surgery? Any other advice you can give me? Thanks, Tamara
