  1. First of all, you can get an anti naseau medication from your doctor. That being said, if you tend to vomit you will not be able to with the band. I had a really bad stomach ache one time and tried to throw up and it couldn't get past the band.
  2. I have been at this weight for about 2 months. My problem is liquid calories. I drink too much alcohol. I don't need a fill. I am going on vacation in 2 weeks and I go for a slight unfill next week. Once I return, I immediately am going to go back in to get me to 3.0 ccs again. How do you recommit yourself when you are close to goal? My goal is to only have a couple drinks a week after vacation. What are your thoughts?
  3. Yes, they weighed me the day of my surgery.
  4. No numbing agent used. The incisions are pretty sore.
  5. Wonder if you are too tight? How much are you filled.
  6. Good for you. Keep up the good work.
  7. Yes, its the progress. Wait until you hit your sweet spot and you can only eat 1/2 of a taco!
  8. I can eat enchiladas really well. All other mexican food fills me up really quickly. Get ready to take leftovers home.
  9. It took me about 12 weeks start to finish.
  10. Banding saved my life. I did diet so many times and failed. I was able to lose 30 lbs on my own pre banding. Then the weight loss just stopped. I was banded at 282 and I'm down to 220 now. What a relief. Banding is the best thing I ever did.
  11. Maria, I felt the same way. I cried right before my surgery because I didn't know how I reached that point. That being said I couldn't be more happy with my weight loss.
  12. I agree with Cerrin. You don't need to put up with this. You will start to lose weight quickly and soon you will be in an XL and be able to wear normal sizes. You will be okay.
  13. That is fantastic news. Keep up the good work.
  14. Fortunately I kept off the 30 lbs I lost before being banded. Probably because I actually got the band. My top weight was 320 and I was banded at 282.
  15. Mine is shopping. Now that I am down 3 sizes I can't stop! Probably not a good thing!
  16. Sherilynn, if you can eat 1/4 cup of food and feel full for that long that is a great place to be. I don't think you need another fill.
  17. My doctor only does out patient now. When I had my surgery 14 months ago it was a 1 night stay.
  18. I had a week vacation one time when I was unfilled to 2.0. I gained 4 lbs in a week! You are lucky that you haven't gained. Good job.
  19. It sounds like your diet is perfect. You should be able to eat at least a cup of food without a fill. Once you start getting fills that will reduce. Good luck.
  20. LLB, I have lattes and oatmeal without a problem. I don't see why you can't enjoy them.
  21. The only thing I can't eat are eggs.
  22. I drink coffee without a problem.
  23. It took me 5 fills before I was at the proper restriction level. I remember being able to eat an entire hamburger or subway sandwich! Keep going back until you can only eat 1/4 cup of food. It will be worth it.
