  2. You must be kidding...in your after photo you can see your waist has gotten smaller, your face slimmer.. I understand how you feel though..I dropped two szs but can't seem to get it through the head..it takes times but we will get there...hang on in there :smile2:
  3. OMG I am so glad to hear that other people were experiencing this....my family will be happy to know that while its 80 degrees outside and I have the heat on its really a reason for me being cold brrrrr....
  4. how do you become unstuck!! I've tried liquids and chew chew chew still no luck just the hiccupburp. any suggestions
  5. I guess every doctor is different, when I was post-op I ate sugar-free fudge pops, chewed a piece of steak but spit of the meat(excuse the descrip). I am 1 month post-op and my doctor put me on liquids two wks, mushies 1wk, soft foods now. but I eat the same foods that I ate before surgery, also cooked alittle different. My first fill is tues, so I figured that I'll eat what I can now (in moderations, low fat, smaller portions) I haven't gain any extra weight just maintaining the 20lbs losed so far..But my doctor doesn't stress the weight loss yet..because it's not about the loss..just the healing of the liver, stomach, body and mind.... So in my opinion(mine only) I believe that you should give into a craving (small portions) if not then you'll be more inclined to eat the whole portion of what your craving...ex: suck on a hersey kiss if you want a whole chocolate bar
  6. I am a newbie, my band date was 4/20/09.. this is a whole new experience for me and would like some pointers. So far I'm doing good, but I haven't had my first fill yet..nervous...did you experience anything when you had you first fill? how are you able to maintain the weight ex: exercise?
  7. I'm a week out with the same issues, the thing that help me with the gas is the gas-x and deep breathing, I would have never thought breathing while all i want to do is eat could get me through it helped. Also I just had my first BM after 7 days(don't me to be gross) but that was also a help with the gas....please stay strong...I hear this too shall pass.
  8. April 20th...Tommorrow...all I can think about is did my Liver shrink enought...the pressure of this is to much to bear..the thought of having to eat smaller portions for the rest of my life doesn't rattle me...just the though of the liver seems to send me in a frinzzzeee...lol did anyone else experience this...
  9. You need to look again!! the weigh loss is amazing...I can't wait for my surgery 4-20-09..You have something that I don't have yet....a figure :crying:

  11. Hello, I can understand what you are going through, I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid in 1993 while pregnant with my daughter, after given birth I deceided to have the surgery to remove my thyroid-Graves Disease (just got tired of going to the hospital, seem like everyday) But i did enjoy the weight loss ( went from 180-130 in two months) I know not healthty. No one told me that the thyroid that was left was going to disappear...Well long a behold I am now Hypothyroid with other auto-immune diseases and taking thryroid meds for life....thanks. 270lbs later i cant seem to lose no more than 15lbs then there goes the scale. I am 41 years old and want to cross my legs when i sit down!!!! this decision was not an easy one (to independent) for me to make, but I finally did. Although I am only in the middle of the requirements..i should be banded sometime in Feb (I hope). People will not understand why we want to do this..and that will have to be there problem. I found that hypo people's bodies doesnt allow them to burn the weight, so I will use this method as a tool and not as a excuse.. Good Luck
  12. Thank You, I havn't been banded yet, but testomonies like this gives me the courage to know that I could be on the right track..I have been looking for long banders so that I could hear that this (banding) can last longer than the 1-2 year people that I hear from..you've inspired me to see past this and allowed me to feel a little more comfortable with this life changing decision.....
  13. Hello all I am going through the motions to be banded....I didn't think that the process was so overwhelming... the waiting....appointments..if nothing else I've grown new grey hairs. Like they say good things come to those who wait... I almost talked myself out of the procedure...but one night i looked at my advantages vs. the disadvantage..and changed my mind ASAP... In need of support.....:tongue2:
