I had the band to bypass revision 5 weeks ago and so far it has been great! My band had slipped and I was having bad reflux and gained back a bunch of weight. The surgeon removed ALOT of scar tissue from the band and had to remove part of my stomach but I healing well and losing weight on track. I was just told at my last appointment that I am loosing faster than most revision patients. I should have done the bypass in the beginning. Good Luck!

I went back after about 1 1/2 weeks. Once I was back at work I felt that it helped keep me in a schedule with fluids and Protein. I was able to chop up my day and that is when I really started getting all of my fluids and protein in. I do admit that at 6 weeks post op I am still pretty beat at the end of the day.
Unfortunately I've had 2 setbacks and spent some time back in the hospital due to a sever stricture but I am very lucky to have a boss and work place that has been very understanding.

I just had my revision from band to bypass on the 19th of June. I get discharged June 21, which is today. Everything went really well, not as bad as I thought it would be. I was nervous and scared too, wondering if I made the right decision. I have all these negative people in my life to do this or do that but, their not understanding the big picture of high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes. When you've tried everything else. I think it's time to let some people go. But you will be just fine. Have no worries.

Maraki, I have to do it. This Tuesday is my month 5 appt with the nutritionist. Sigh. .

I am so glad you were able to update us! And it is great to hear you are not in a lot of pain! This is a second birthday for you! I bet your hospital stay will be a short one..

Hi, my name is Susan and I am having my band to gastric bypass on June 10th. I too am really nervous. I have been reading everything I can to get ready. Have my final surgeon visit on the 2nd. I am in Delaware....You?

I just heard that I received approval for my revision surgery through Aetna. It will be covered 90% as well. Soo excited for another chance and to be rid of this awful reflux. Im hoping for surgery the beginning of June. This Xmas i hope to have a new me this year.
