  1. Congratulations on being approved. I completely understand your excitment since I heard from my insurance company yesterday! I am having my surgery on April 16th. Nervous, excited, but mostly happy to get on with things. It seemed like such a relief to hear that it was approved...now the wait for surgery begins:thumbup:
  2. I just got my approval yesterday after what seemed like a long time of waiting, but in comparison to some, I was relatively quick. The pych eval for me involved meeting with the psychologist for one hour and discussing my reasons for wanting the surgery. I just told her that I was able to lose weight, but not keep it off. I think the band will be a great tool in helping me feel full faster. I know it' shard to wait, but hang in there...it will be worth it. I am scheduled for April 16th and can't wait. I just want to get it done! Good luck to you.
  3. Finally got a call from the surgeons office yesterday and have been approved! SOOO excited, scared, nervous, but very happy to finally have an actual date. This has been quite a journey already with all the insurance hoops to jump through. Now the "real journey" begins! I just can't believe it is happening, finally! Would love to find others with same date so we can support one another along the way.
  4. Hi Shonia, I am in the "discovery" process too. I researched doctors in my area (Sacramento, CA) online and called their office. I found out there is a seminar on Jan. 5th and I signed up to go. That is my first step. Good luck to you and I hope you keep me posted on your journey. :smile2:Peggy
