Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Thanks, all...I really appreciate the support. J...I heart you...you can always make me laugh: "...but I'm ever so slightly just a little drunk." I love that...ever so slightly just a little! Is that like being ever so slightly just a little pregnant? LOL And yes, I will get refilled. I will take it a little at a time and only get the bare necessity, though. Right now, I'd say it's necessary.

Summer/Independence Day Weightloss Challenge
I may have joined this out of sheer blind optimism. Since my band slipped and I was subsequently unfilled two weeks ago, my weight is going in the wrong direction now. Pissed off. :cool2:

April Exercise Challenge
I spoke too soon, and now I hate being unfilled. Don't wanna talk about it, but my weight is climbing.

Oh, I am so tailgating on ZZ's solicitation! (On two threads!) My big ride is this weekend (thanks Josiebies for the well wishes!) and I wanted to post my donation link within the post...sometimes the signatures become "invisible" to us since we see them with every post. Donation Link: 2008 SAM'S CLUB MS 150 Bike Tour This is from my donation page... About Your Rider Rider Name: STEFANIE STANPHILL Rider Message: Thank you for supporting Multiple Sclerosis! I am so looking forward to this 150-mile bicycle tour during the weekend of May 3rd & 4th, 2008! Please contact me for details if you would like to attend...I would love to have you there, cheering for us all! There will be many people riding who actually have Multiple Sclerosis, so come show your support and enjoy the weekends' activities! Please let me know who you are so I know who to thank when the ride is over. Thank you so much, Stefanie Stanphill

April Exercise Challenge
Thanks, you two! Hey, LULUC! I just checked out your profile after you talked about North Texas weather....I didn't realize/remember that we were neighbors! So do you just have your own horses or do you board horses, as well? I was thinking about getting a couple horses, but would need to board them.

April Exercise Challenge
Oh, wow! Y'all are doing AMAZING! Everyone! I'm so proud of my fellow Exercise Challenge buddies! :smile2: I'm doing okay with being unfilled so far. Not that I'm not eating like a horse...because I am! But all my exercise is keeping the weight gain at bay for now. My big ride is this weekend, so I'm adding carbs in this week and getting more Water and sleep. After the ride is behind me, I plan on going back on www.My-Calorie-Counter.com and logging my food every day again. I need to get my cals back under control...just plain get under control, PERIOD. I'm REALLY enjoying being able to eat! LOL I am just plain BUSY lately! Hubby came home unexpectedly, which is AWESOME! He surprised me so he could be here for my ride this weekend...what a doll. So we've been shopping and playing and working around the house...just enjoying our time together until he goes back offshore. He starts a new contract in two weeks and will be working in Hong Kong for the next five years, so it will be six week rotations from now on. So we are Spring cleaning, shampooing carpets, painting the master suite, relandscaping the backyard...and cleaning the garage is next! I'm TIRED! LOL Oh, and all of this is around dealing with refinancing our house...I despise doing all that paperwork junk! I'm not missing any of my workouts, though. That is always a priority! I'm getting really curious again to know what my body fat percentage is! I think I will make an appointment at Cooper Institute again to get hydrostatically weighed. I don't care what my bathroom scale says NEAR as much as what that will tell me. Even though I'm getting a little aprehensive about my ride this weekend, I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to post pics for y'all!

Did my band slip?
I agree with Neely. It happened to me...overfilled, stubbornly wanted to keep it, horrible PB-ing episode (ONE) made my pouch stretch and band slip slightly. I am now completely unfilled to see if it will heal itself. Call your doc and get checked out with flouro.

B! That sounds horrid! Somehow me thinks you are making light of this situation for us? I really do. Even though you share that you are in the hospital, it seems you don't want us to worry too much, but we do! You are a big part of the Bycyling Family! Regardless, I hope everything turns out okay...have you contacted your LB doc? Sending you warm fuzzies and good mojo for a speedy recovery to a good place in Band Land!

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
Thank you for the birthday wishes! It was a great day! ZZ - "Weight Lifting Nazi"...I was dubbed that by my daughter and her friend when they asked if they could work out with me and my partner. We made them WORK. She said it should go on my MySpace and I agreed. Then my son saw it...thus the page comment from him about me being gay. He's a turd...what can I say? He makes me laugh more and more every day!

About the "LOST" collumn...since we are just starting from our current position, don't we put zero to begin? (Not what we've lost since surgery, right?) I'm befuddled.

Bethany Sue? Too cute...hadn't heard that yet. BTW, mom almost made my middle name Bethany. Umm, yeah...Stefanie Bethany. Glad she came to her senses and made it Ann.

Wow...18 hours...1200 miles...driving a big ole' Texas truck that sucks down a gallon of gas just by turning the ignitiion. (LOL) MIGHT BE FUN! Gonna check flights and cars, too. We'll see... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EDIT: Oh, DUH! Gas would run me about a grand alone, but flight plus car less than half that. So who knows how those bike boxes work when it comes to flying? Costs extra for the size? And once my beautiful girl looks like this... How would I get her back together again?

I was actually contemplating that. How long is the route you are considering? I don't even know how long of a drive that is. I'm going to look that up now. Hmmm.....tempting.

BP! Sorry to hear about your ordeal today. I'm glad you made it through, relatively unscathed. On the other hand, that is the first lengthy post that I recall from you and it displays your wonderful sense of humor! I love it! You're a good fit here! LOL Post more often!

Umm...and just WHY didn't you say hello?!?!? Yes, I absolutely LOVE their Salmon and Asparagus cooked over the fire on a cedar plank...YUM! Shame on you for not saying hello. Thanks about my band....but I think it's going to be all good. What's going on with yours? Yes, the rides were awesome, even if Lancaster DID kick my ass! Wish you could've been there, too! Are you still gonna be at the MS 150 next weekend? Yes, please check in more often...we miss you! It dropped a ton last month...not so much lately. In fact, I bumped it back UP a few pounds this morning. But I'm still feeling good and it didn't really bother me, as long as it's not the beginning of a pattern! Thanks for commenting on it! I'm in a good place now, but I still want another 25 to get my legs in the same shape as the rest of me....my legs are my worst enemy!

Hi, Everyone....I think I'll be the contrarian voice here...
Denise...I second that motion! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ By the way, "slider foods"? Never heard that before...very appropriate term. :tongue_smilie: But I don't know of any obesity surgery that would prevent them. Gastric Bypass? Nope..."slider foods" go down just great...just ask my sis who had it a few years ago. All obesity surgeries have their pros and cons....and all of them allow "slider foods". These are tools. You have to be educated, prepared and psychologically/emotionally ready to use these tools appropriately. You have to be committed to the good and the bad. Getting the band won't make you not want ice cream! (Oh, how I love thee!)
