  1. Hey guys- Just had my first post-op visit. I am down 11 lbs since surgery in just one week. Not getting enough protein though - I have to try harder. How is everyone else doing?
  2. msheavensent: What kind of protein are you trying? I think the key is finding one that you can tolerate. I use vitalady.com for my protein. She carries about a dozen different brands and you are bound to find one you like. She will even ship you samples so you can try and find one you like. I like Problend 55 (its on the sweeter side) and I mix it with Simply Smart milk for a shake type taste. I have even added spices to it like cinammon or nutmeg anything to help you tolerate better. Your other option could be Unjury (unjury.com) makes a non-flavored one. I have used that one in broth, jello, whatever. It doesn't have a flavor and you are still getting your protein. Hope these ideas may help you out. Deb
  3. I do think the protein really helps. Still feeling a bit on the weak side myself but feel my energy increasing everyday. I am post -op day 7 and tommorrow I get to start the mushies. Anybody have any good ideas of what tastes good and goes down easy? Thanks and everyone keep on trucking - we are all going to be healthier. Deb
  4. Tinaj- Are you a strict vegan? If not are you trying Protein drinks - ie - a powder mixed into say soy milk? There is a website called Vitalady.com who sells all kinds of Proteins and you may be able to find one that you can add to the liquid diet. My personal favorite is Pro Blend 55. Hope it helps hugs and keep on trucking deb
  5. amourette- Three threads sounds like a good idea as a way to keep everything going. I am just so happy to find a group to hang out with. I am doing good after surgery although today for the first time I feel hungry. Still on liquids so can't do much but keep trying to fill up on sugar-free stuff. Deb
  6. hey guys Tryed the receipe and found it to be awesome. So definitely follow the egg drop soup thread. Deb
  7. Hey- Saw this thread and am so intrested in joining the bandits. I just got my band last Tuesday. Am suffering through the gas pains, but otherwise doing well. Does anyone else seem to burp like crazy? I think I have more gas coming out that way then any other. So, excited to post my losses and cheer you guys on. 8. Thanks Sallyjo- That sounds about my list but they have me making Protein shakes that are at least as thick as egg drop soup so I don't know.
  9. Hi everyone- I am brand new to the site and brand new to my band. I saw a few people talk about egg drop Soup - can anyone give me a hint where to find it and what other things to have in the STAGE 1 - liquids to thick liquid phase. I am getting a little hungry Thanks
