  1. Hello, I live in Lewiston, ME and I will be attending my first seminar today in Portsmouth. I am sooo looking forward to going and finding out all I can about lap banding. I am an RN and have worked on a surgical floor that had many RNY gastric bypass surgical patients. After seeing many complications, I have decided to pursue lap banding for myself. Best of luck to you all....Rachel
  2. I am from Lewiston, and I will be attending the seminar later today at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. I am an RN who has worked on the surgical unit that had RNY gastric bypass surgery patients - After seeing the many complications that can occur, I have decided to check out the lap banding procedure for myself. I am now an insulin-dependent diabetic, with other co-morbidities, and am serious about losing weight to extend my life and be around to enjoy my husband and my son. Best of luck to all of you. Warmly, Rachel

  7. Hi! I am so glad to hear from you. and that you are doing well, so far. I have not had surgery yet - insurance coverage is an issue. We are checking to see if my husband's insurance will cover. Do you mind my asking if you had any problems with insurance - what company are you insured with? Aetna (mine) won't cover the procedure.
