    December Delights 2009

Hey everyone.. I too have hopes of having another baby after all this. That's my ultimate goal anyways. We have one baby so far. But it was work to get her. We miss carried a few times before getting pregnant with her. We want a second and I think with just the results so far its not a to outragious goal.. keep up the good work everyone and god bless!

hey everyone!!! wow has time flown by! i cannot believe it is almost APRIL!!! but i am very happy with results thus far i think.. i found out last time i was at the dr office *february 18th that MY scale is against me and has lied to me.. i am down 5 more pounds than what it says ( with clothes on... at home i weigh naked, and dr office i weigh with clothes on) but other than it's vendetta against me everything has been going well.. i have one HUGE check mark on the weightloss accomplishment! it's only a female thing BUT i now have a period REGULAR!!! every month on the DATE!! i have never had this.. it has been awsome! life has been doing great! very happy with how this is going.. i did plautea for about 2 weeks but have been going good since!! i hope everyone has been having a great experience! i'm gonna try to stay in contact more!!! good luck and god bless

8 weeks post op ~ feeling discouraged

are you seeing any other "accomplishments" like pants getting to big.. shirts a little baggier... maybe even just bra or panties getting looser.. gotta find other ways to judge success.. i made my husband hide the scale.. i will not let it rule me.. no matter how many times a day i want to step on it... it's like a disease!!!!

    What else have you lost?

that is a great way of putting it.. i applaud the way you said it.. you never know underlying circumstances in peoples lives.. i'm sure no one chooses to be obese or morbidly obese.. atleast that's not what i wanted in life.. and here i am now blessed to be banded, to have a speedy recovery. Judge and that will be the way you will be judged in the end. Not everyone is concerened with other peoples feelings, but there comes a point where you are just being childish and down right rude. it's so sad to see people walk through life thinking well my life is shitty or i've been givin a shitty hand SO everyone elses lives should be.. or i'm going to cast my horrible outlook on life onto them.. take care!!! i was banded december 23rd and am now on my 5th day of recovery and i slept!!! on the left side... wow.. talk about speedy!!!
  10. I am four days post op also!!! and i have one spot on my left side where if i breath in deep or roll just right to get up.. it is KILLER pain.. like i can feel something moving.. or rubbing against my ribs i also still have some gas pains under my diaphram that i can feel all the way up to my collar bone.. I think it will go away eventually.. maybe not as soon as we would like BUT it will. I have been up and about since surgery (even got shopping done day after christmas). And that has helped a lot.. I would say to try keeping up with the walking and see if that helps.. i'll keep ya posted as to what i am doing too.. sounds like the same pain almost.. TAKE CARE!!! DECEMBER DELIGHTS!!!
  11. Can not stress enough the importants of walking.. it will help so much with the gas pains in your shoulders and chest. I also found that sleeping on my back was easier than on the side even with support from pillows.. keep up with the liquids and gas x strips.. i am now three days post op and the walking and gas x strips have helped so much.. that's the most painful pain i have felt.. but it does subside.. best of luck!!! DECEMBER DELIGHTS!!!

well here we are.. i am two days post op.. doing well i feel.. but i am not able to tell the difference between hunger pains and just gas moving pains i guess... to myself i dont think i feel hungry.. today i have been working on water consumption.. i didn't feel like i was getting enough water yesterday so i have sipped down two bottles of water in hopes of staying hydrated.. i hate the gas pains even though walking really does help i have a horrible dog that just stopped half way threw my walk.. he's a pup so i should have known... anyways.. i dont know if i am losing weight.. i am to scared to step on the scale.. i think i am going to wait til i hit one week then weigh in.. hoping it all goes well

    Any January 2010 Bandsters????

HEY JANUARY BANDSTERS!!! well i am a december bandster and i just wanted to wish you all the best of luck.. i am two days post op and only woke up from surgery thinking what the hell did i just do.. i dont regret it now.. and i dont feel like i will regret it later at all either.. just remember follow the rules.. the shoulder/collarbone pains are just gas, and WALK WALK WALK.. it will relieve alot of the pressure!!! GOOD LUCK!!
  14. well yesterday was mysurgery day... and I completely feel the omg what have idone. Gas x did help with the walking. But alone not so much... my port site is the most painful and on my back seemed to be the least uncomfortable. I hate the gas pains and I had the dry vomit for about 30 minutes last night til imade myself sleep... I am hoping day two tomorrow will come easier... take care everyone! And happy holidays
