  1. Hi Roger I had my lap band 8/31/2004. I had my first fill 6 weeks later. second fill 6 months later. third fill 1 year later. I have lost 71 lbs & am still slowly losing. Last month I had to have 0.02cc removed due to indigestion & reflux. You need to have a long talk with your doctor. Its almost impossible to modify behavior without help. That's what the lap -band does. Modify eating habits. It sounds to be he is waiting for the year to be up so you will have to pay for the fills.
  2. hi, I used the surgical specialists in covington. All of the doctors in the group have lots of experience.
  3. Hi everybody. Just found this site yesterday & spent hours reading messages. I had my lap-band in august 2004. So far I have done great. I am 15 pounds below my target weight. I would like to have some advice. About 2 months ago I started having reflux during the night & indigestion during the day. Propulcid helps very little. I take so much Maalox it causes diarrhea. I called my doctor last week & they want me to come in for some tests as it may be due to slippage. I am in great fear I may need another surgery or encounter alot of expense that I can't afford. Has anyone had slippage & something simple was found without great expense?:help: thanks all. vonnie
