  2. Soory that your doc is no help. I don't think mine is going to be much help either. I guess we will have to get our support from online and other support groups. Have you tried obesity help.com? They have a great lap band forum too? Eydie
  3. Why in heck would you eat a footlong sub after lap band surgery? WE all know that this is only a tool and that we still have to do all the hard work of controlling what we put in our mouths. I 'm not banded yet so I'm not trying to be judgemental but i know that I am on the liquid diet now and could eat a horse but I won't...this is too important for me to just not do what I know I need too...no one ever died froom being a bit hungry ( at least that's what I tell myself!! Don't get started with the bad eating habits so soon out of surgery or I'm worried that you will not succeed with your goals. Best of luck Eydie
  4. Hi, wish you lots of luck getting a date for surgery soon. Why did you decide upon the band rather than a bypass? I had really decided on the bypass but when my province decided to fund my surgery the doc up here suggested banding rather than bypass because of less complications etc. I worry about how much weight I will lose with the band...seem to be a lot of negative posts about problems and not losing weight etc. but I will give it my best shot. Eydie:rolleyes:
  5. Hi , my name is Eydie and I live in Okotoks , Alberta. I had been scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery in Arizona on Oct. but have since changed my mind and am scheduoled to be banded on Dec. 3 in Edmonton , Alberta. I have fought the weight battle all my life and am really looking forward to having this new tool to help me succeed.:tongue2:
