  1. Hi there, I was banded on Wednesday. The gas pain! OMG! I found that walking really helps. I also had a hernia that I knew nothing about up until yesterday. I wonder what's the cause of that. Did your Doctor tell you?

  3. Gas Ex strips are my best friend right now. I was banded on yesterday 10.22. The gas was horrible right after my surgery. I felt like I couldn't breath. Walking really does help!!! I came home after surgery, slept a little while. Then began walking in my home like I was in a marathon..They could have kept the gas..
  4. I also had hiatal hernia. Which was removed or repair during my banding. I really didn't know I had it up until I had the LapBand procedure. Congrats to you on your weight lost. I plan to be there soon. Taking it one day at a time.
  5. Just doing a quick drop in with an update. Today I had my surgery. All in all everything went well. The only problem I encountered were the GAS PAINS:eek:.OMG! BUT! I will not complian. God has really been GOOD TO ME! I've walked my house like I was at an 8 mile track. The Doctor and Nurses said walking really helps. Be back tomorrow with more updates.

  8. Hello there! OMG! I've finally found someone that's getting banded with me. I'm getting banded tomorrow also. I haven't told anybody but the Hubby. My family is use to me losing weight, then gaining and losing again. I will be going BACK to gym next week. I've been a sponsor of 24 Fitness for the last 3 months. I joined back in March and went long enough to lose some weight for a cruise I was going on. I haven't been back since then. Isn't that bad?..lol. That's okay, I'm going to get it going come next week.

Okay, here it is. 24 hours before my surgery. Well, not quit 24. I'm kinda excited. I went out looking for something cute to wear to hospital. Then, I thought about it..Oh snap! It's not a necessity that I buy something new, because soon I won't be able to fit it. How ya like me now?! I'm confident that everything will be okay. I'm just having some reservations about the anastesia (sp). I just can't phantom being put to sleep. JUST LIKE THAT, I'M OUT. Oh my! Lord, I know you are going to meet there right? You brought me to it, so I know you'll bring me through it. No complications! I declare it now. I'll be back tomorrow with updates. Toodles!

  11. Hello All, Tomorrow, it will be official. I will be part of the world of Lap Banders. This has been a year long journey, mostly on my part. I got my approval in May, but I kept delaying my pre op visit. So, now I'm finally doing it..WOW! If someone would have told me, some years back, that I would be having an elective surgery. I would have told them..LIES! I don't do doctors like that. Where I would volunteer to go to one. NOT! I've always been good at dieting and losing weight. But, I was much better at gaining most of it back...lol.. Guess, you can say I'm tired of the yo yo dieting. So, here I am. I think I'm past that stage of being terrified, my fears have now turn into excitement. Along with my daily prayers, this site has been such a good "calm me down tool". OMG! Yesterday, I was a mess. It seem like when the Nurse called to give me my surgery time. I went into this panic mode. I cried something serious. I'm okay now. God has worked it out. I'm looking forward to making new friends. Toodles Ladies and Gents
  12. This issue right here is my problem as we speak. I am scheduled for surgery Wednesday Oct 22nd. I HAVE NOT LOST ONE POUND! I don't know if this is all in my mind or not. But I feel as though I wanna eat all I can before the surgery. Has anyone else felt this way? I haven't gained, nor have I lost. The information that I received during my pre op visit stated, that patients are expected to lose a "SIGNIFICANT" amount of weight. W I T H is considered a significant amount of weight? I think may call to reschedule
