  1. Hi, I just had my gastric bypass on 12/1 as well. Also a vegetarian but making an exception at the moment and drinking broth. I also find the protein shakes heavy on my stomach. According to my surgeon’s instructions, I’m allowed zero sugar, non fat Greek yogurt and unsweetened almond milk. I’ve found the Greek yogurt (Oikos zero) settles better on my stomach but I she to let it sort of melt in my mouth. Also mixing the protein shake and the almond milk helps. I wanted ask how you’re doing overall? I am slowly working my way up to my liquid and protein goals, but have not been able to reach them yet. I’m about halfway there. I’m still experiencing bloating. Not hungry and feel full as soon as I drink something. But I found that today, post op day 4, I’m wanting real food very badly despite not being hungry. I just sniffed a Ritz cracker that my husband is eating.
