my diet has changed to soft foods. i get scared to try new things. so far i tried ground turkey w/ refried beans. it seems all i eat is fish boiled in v8 juice w/ lemon. what stage r u on? how has all been with u? n congrats on ur weight loss. i have lost 15 so far. best of luck!

i had to stay over night. i felt fine there but when i got home the next day all i felt was pain from all the gas so invest in a heating pad it helps with the gas and i also got an electric blanket cause if u live in a cold state u will feel like u cant breath if ur cold. also dont forget the gas-x strips too. best of luck to u both. if u have any questions feel free to ask me. yoco28@aol.com

I got banded 12 days ago.:ohmy: my body feels fine but i think it is my mind! :eek:i mean i love cooking for my family but when it comes time to serve them i get realy pis*** off:cursing:. and i start to yell. :angry:im wondering if it is because i cant eat that food no more or is it just that i miss sitting at the table with them? it maybe both. does this happen to anyone else? yoco28

:biggrin:Tomarrow is my big day! Today I started my clear liquids before surgery. Im so scared. But I cant wait to get it over with. Its weird that I think to my self the if something should happen that I elected to do this to myself. what i did was i looked my sergen up on-line. and also his office has support meetings twice a month. so i got to talk with some of his post-op patients to see how it all went for them. best of luck to u! yoco28

I have only been banded for 8 days n it is the best thing that i have ever done for myself. I mean the first 3 days r hard but ur fine after that. I think it is few people with issues from the lapband n it is people who dont follow what ur told to do. The only reson a person might vomit is cause they did not chew there food till its mussey in there mouth or they over ate. So it is all how u go about ur lapband follow the rules n u will be fine. WOW IM SO TIRED OF SLEEPING SITTING UP!:w00t: I TRIED TO LAY DOWN LASTNIGHT BUT I STILL HAVE THAT PULLING FEELING. HI! IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME TO GET IT ALL DONE. I STARTED OUT IN FEB. OF 2008 N JUST GOT BANDED ON JAN.8,2009. WELL I HAD A LIL TROUBLE WITH MY HEART. THIS WAS FOUND DURING ALL THE TESTING THEY DO. BUT MY COUSENS HAD NO PROBLEMS SO IT ONLY TOOK THEM 6 MONTHS. SO IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW HEALTHY U R TOO. BUT ONCE U GET IT DONE IT SEEMS LIKE IT WENT BY SO FAST...... WELL BEST OF LUCK TO U. YOCO28

SOUNDS LIKE UR DOING GOOD! IM 4 DAYS POST-OP N HAVE NOT TRIED TO SLEEP IN MY BED YET. I KEEP GETTING A PULLING FEELING IF I LAY DOWN. SO I JUST SLEEP SITTING UP. BUT THE PAIN GETS LESS EVERYDAY. TODAY I EVEN WENT TO THE SUPERMARKET WITH MY HUSBAND. BUT IN AN HOUR I WAS READY TO GET OUT OF THERE N GET HOME. BUT ATLEAST I GOT TO WALK FOR AN HOUR. TODAY STARTED MY FULL LIQUIDS. AND THAT IS WHEN IT HIT ME. I KEPT ASKING MYSELF WHY WOULD U DO THIS TO UR SELF. I COULD NOT HELP IT THE PAIN WAS INTENCE N I WAS TAKING SHALLOW BREATHS N CRYING.:smile: EVEN WHEN I GOT IN THE HOUSE I WAS STILL COLD. I RAN TO TAKE SOME PAIN MED'S N SAT DOWN WITH TONS OF BLANKETS N FELL ASLEEP. BUT AS I WOKE UP ALL I COULD SAY TO MY HUSBAND WAS GO GET ME AN ELECTRIC BLANKET AND A HEATING PAD. NOW THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT SAVED ME.:w00t: IM NOW 3 DAYS POST-OP AND FEELING GREAT ALMOST 100%. SO JUST A LITTLE ADVICE FOR ANYONE WHO LIVES IN THE COLD STATES INVEST IN AN ELECTRIC BLANKET AND ALSO A HEATING PAD(USED IT ON MY BACK) IT HELPS WITH THE GAS TOO!! Congrats on getting banded. I get mine on Thursday. My pre-op diet is for 10 days and all I can have is full liquids. Its soo hard to do cause I have 5 children and my friend had came over with chinese food n I could of died!! I was like cant u see im starving over here! But I guess it is something that we all must go through. It must be true it is a MIND THING. And also I came to realize that my family has to go on and eat like normal. It is not them that had this done! So best of luck to u!! Joanie yoco28
