I. An Update: My friend, Laurie, suggested that I set a goal for myself that didn't involve a particular weight at first. I figured it was time to start moving, especially since I had slacked off entirely and was eating all sorts of crap, just in smaller doses. I intend to track my weight each week, at the same time of day, and see how the exercise affects the scales. My week will run Sunday through Saturday, though I will weigh on Monday mornings.   II. I've gone from 306 to 278.8 thus far! Two more pounds and I will be back to my starting weight. And by starting, I mean that, as soon as I was approved for surgery, I packed on 30 lbs eating all kinds of fast food and other junk that I didn't think I'd ever be able to eat again. Oy! Do NOT do that. Self-sabotaging is no fun.   I'm healing beautifully, too. Knock on wood. We were really concerned about my high risk of infection, but nightly baths in Hibiclens has really helped keep everything n
So I broke.my liquid diet with a bite of caesar salad, which I promptly chewed to liquid-like smitherines... Only to be outright APPAULED by the taste! I'd been craving a caesar since days before surgery, but it tasted absolutely rancid! My sister ate it without conplaint. But to me, it tasted like my disgusting ex-step-grandfather's breath! Now this leaves me wondering if my portion size wasn't the only thing to change post-op.
