Tina, Nicole - so sorry ladies! You are in my prayers. Monique - what is up with THAT?? I know 2 folks that got rescheduled, but neither was Doc Fisher . . . . must be a Richmond scheduling problem. I would have flipped! But at least they did not cancel it! Have fun today ladies! Take some pics & post for me :-) I have a used digital camera now but my son can't find the cable to download it and it won't download with another cable, I've tried it - grr! Trying to figure out what to bring to Tahoe today, don't have enough $$ to eat out and no fridge or micro in the room, so . . . . a small ice chest, string cheese, protein powder - what else?? Maybe I will break down and get a couple of power bars, although they make me crave carbs . . . . Ha what am I thinking, everyone I' going with has had RNY! I can eat their leftovers LOL . . . . .

I didn't think about that when I wrote it . . . sorry girlfriend! That;s COOL that you get to email Dr. Baggs, as long as you get to email Dr. Park too! I saw Dr. Park once, but I don't get to email her . . . . And thanks for a great walk yesterday Jes, it was bea-utiful! Hi Pammie! Hey Robin looked it up for us yesterday, and Dr. Im assisted Dr. Baggs in both of our surgeries! And apparently they listened to heavy metal, makes me glad I had the nice relaxing iPod music on, LOL!!

Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Welcome lurkers! Robin said she sent some folks to this forum 'cause none of us should have to do this alone, and she is so right! Say howdy :-) if you stick with us you will be as successful as humanly possible!!! Reggie - I MISS YOU!! Come back or PM me or sumpthin . . . . . Bummed that I'm going to miss you all Saturday morning, but super-excited about my Tahoe trip!!!

JES! Call or email your PCP ASAP and tell her/him that your BP yesterday was 85/55 (although your pulse was good at 65) and that you feel really tired!! That is WAY TOO LOW. Stage 2 best soup: Split pea with ground up ham - I diced mine, then processed it in my magic bullet (uhm, the bullet that sits on your counter, not in your nightstand drawer LOL!), then added it to the crock-pot with the split peas, then blended it again after it cooked. Thin with broth; thicken with lite tofu (it doesn't take much!) HI PROTEIN, and you are eating so little that the legumes should not bother your tummy. I also blended & made a cream soup out of Hot & Sour Soup from my little Chinese place down the road (no additions, just straight into the bullet), and blended Safeway's chili with a little unflavored, unsweetened soy milk. I ate (or rather, drank!) Like a QUEEN in stage 2! Love my magic bullet :-) Jes part of what you feel going on in your tummy is the intestines shifting back to where they were - sounds like there's a train in there sometimes! It should not hurt tho; the pain is definately gas. OK got a rush research job on a legal brief due by Monday, when I'll be in Tahoe - so that makes my deadline - uhm - 4:00 today! Yikes. Kind of bummed that it's taken my 2 weeks and a fill to lose 1 lb. . . . . it's really really hard right now!! I was also kind of bummed that I was STARVING a half-hour ago - I thought darn it, that .25cc fill isn't working, I should have asked for .5 cc's at least - then I thought gee, maybe I'm hungry because I have not eaten in about 50 hours!!! LOL - I guess my band IS working after all :scared2:

Jes was tryin' to get me there, we were SO CLOSE but then I had to go check in, then she waited with my purse while I changed outta my sweats (we did "the walk"), then Tina came, then we were called in! They totally welcomed Jes, did her BP and let her watch my fill and stuff. Hardly anyone showed up so it was COOL! She sure was jonsin for that SF vanilla latte tho!!!
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
Uhmmmm . . .yes, and yes!! :-) Jes - did you get your latte?? Tina - came home and had a cup of broth for lunch, was going to have a SF decaf soy chai latte for dessert but was too full from the stinking broth!! Guess I'd better stick with the plan and get me some SF jello, 'sigh':tongue_smilie:

OMG Candra, you have not heard my crazy stories?!? OK, so, back then I was eating meat. I got me a Magic Bullet, which is NOT just for State 3! If you could suck it through a straw (which of course I NEVER did - I only used a straw for vodka or rum drinks with umberellas) then it qualifies as Stage 2. SO - I would use canned chicken and make my own homemade cream of chicken with canned chicken, westsoy unsweetened unflavored soy milk, BUTTER (yes butter) and salt & pepper, YUMMO. I also made my now-infamous "Cream of Jimmie Dean" on a day that I was Jonesing REALLY bad for some biscuits and gravy - it was the best thing I ever had!!

Tina are you bringing a food log for Robin tomorrow?
-
Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
DANG it Nicole, now I'll NEVER catch you! I gained almost 2 back waiting for this fill, up to 180 again and for a little while I was only like 3 lbs. more than you . . . man it is HARD to LOSE when you don't have much left! When I reach my halloween ticker goal tho, I will be in a 10 like you and THAT willo make me happy :-) Love you skinny girl!! Oh notice I said "WHEN" and not "IF"

Oh and I never did have bandster hell . . . maybe because I stayed away from carbs? The only hell times for me are right before a fill, like, NOW I want to bite someone . . . .

Ugh, sorry Pam! Can you call the office and tell them that you are miserable, this is affecting your mental state, and maybe get on a list to be called if he has any cancellations? I had such good restriction - I honestly was not hungry at all until a dew days ago. Now I am starving all of the time, and I can eat like 4 cups at a time! I have cut out carbs too, but am doing my "gain a bunch of water weight right before you go weigh in" thing anyways, dagnabit! I will be VERY happy to get a fill Thursday! This is the closest I have ever been between the time that I felt I needed one and I get to have one, though - last time Dr. Baggs told me to call and schedule a fill, I had to wait almost a month! Of course I gained weight back during that time . . . . . UGH I am starving right NOW! Good thing it's lunch time! I will miss seeing you guys on Saturday - but don't feel sorry for me, I'll be in beautiful Lake Tahoe with Team Thrive!!!!:bored:

sleep apnea?
I tested moderate for sleep apnea right before my surgery, < 2 episodes per hour now so I no longer need my CPAP but I keep using it cause I'm addicted to it!! Strap on that mask and go right to sleep

Hey all, just checkin' in . . . . I forgot to stop eating today! Calorie meter is over 1,300 oopsie daisy!! Oh well huh, whatcha gonna do. I can eat too much again! 3 days till fill, just have to hang on a bit longer I reckon. Too tired today, and a headache - at least it didn't get as hot as they predicted today. My one knee is still kinda grindy-feeling when I walk more than a mile at a time, so trying to take it easy on it but still get my miles in preparing for this weekend. Going to bed so I can't eat anymore!! No willpower today, zippo I hope tomorrow's better. Goodnight all!

Oh my goodness band o' buddies, it is impossible to just pop onto this board anymore! It always takes me to the last post I read, and nowadays there's always 5 or more pages of new stuff to read through! But I can just FEEL our support power, ya know? I am SO sore! I know I walk a lot and all, but this morning we did 10 miles straight without stopping, apparently "we" felt that if we could do 10 straight miles at this altitude we can for sure do a 10K (6.2 miles) at 6000 feet next weekend . . . . but I ACHE!! My kneews feel sorta grindy, and I don't like that! Maybe cause I did a little bike riding to, well you know, it was there and it looked like the thing to do at the time :-) Heather I keep meaning to tell you how I get a chuckle "havin my diet coke" every time I pull my pencil out of my purse . . . . I have tried the joke on unbanded friends but it's a no-go for any kinds but us! Thanks for chuckles :-) Donna love the band name! ANd I think you should go hold those babies! That takes someone very special, like YOU! Jes & Candra SO glad you girls are doing great! Isn't it great to not want to eat?? Weird, but great :-) Tina I can't wait either!! I need my Tina fix :-) And I am so happy for those babies they are going to need Tina fix too! Welcome newbies, so happy you have found us!! That's why we stay on pre-op, so new folks can find us and get support :-) we're the lapband rockstars, for sure! I think I'm going to have a little nap, and then DRIVE to the store cause I am so done walking today! Oh I forgot to mention when I got home from the 10 miles I ate the HUGEST salad EVER, seriously like 6 cups . . . fill time!!! - Kaiser Richmond Pre-op
