  5. Tapenade is a spread made of olives, pretty much mushed up olives and oil, it used mostly for crackers or toasted breads. For the sake of adding calories i add to some meats to vary the taste of things..and its all good fats
  6. I could but there are tons of options and its sooo easy! just go here or click on my name and it should lead you straight to the website www.dreamdollz.com/Glitter_Maker.html
  7. I know we have a meal plan list going which I’m all for! I’m curious as to what everyone else is eating. I think we should also have an exercise thread. Lets post our routines and maybe get tips or ideas from others. Our bands our tools and exercise will really help us achieve those goals!! I did 25mins on elliptical this morning and 20mins of a walking exercise DVD before dinner. So how did you move today?
  8. I did not eat enough in calories but I am so full I couldn’t possibly eat more.. so this was my meal plan today..I had London broil but only maybe less than 2 oz cut into pencil eraser size cubes chewed very well.. 9. You've done so well! You can really see a difference! Congrats on the loss!! These pics are definitely going to be a source of inspiration for pre-bandsters!! :tt2:
  10. I understand the mental thing, at first i couldnt seem to comprehend that 1 cup of food will fill me up, slowly but surely im gettin it so now i look at my portion and really ask myself am i that hungry? Most time i can easily put back 1/4 of cup and be glad i didnt waste food.. They weren't kidding when they said this was tool, not a magic trick...
  11. Who actually feels restriction with no fills yet? I do, I cant eat more than 8oz/1 cup of mushy food..that is truly my limit on a meal..I mean I think I can snack/graze all day if I wanted to (but that wont help in weight loss) but when it comes to an actually meal, a cup or less is generally all I can eat..does anyone else feel the band restriction w/o a fill? My 1st fill is January 15th! So excited!
  12. Are we posting our loss weekly? Any particular days?
  13. Hi all! Here are my stats: surgery date 12/10/08 heighest weight 300 preop diet starting weight 291 surgery weight 288 current weight 276 weight loss since surgery 12lbs total weight loss 15lbs my end goal is to be 180 my agressive goal for january is 20lbs
  14. Pumpkin cheesecake "OH YEAHHH" that is yummy..you have restraint! my chicken ricotta version: It sounds icky but it taste pretty good and so filling I get a 15oz container of Fat Free or Part Skim ricotta, a rotisserie chicken or just breast if available. Pretty much remove all meat (no skin) and put it all in the processor with salt and pepper to taste pulse until mushy. It makes a few servings so you can put in 1 cup containers that’s what I do and just pop them in the microwave for 1 min or 2 and viola instant lunch or dinner full of protein!
  15. Omg I’m not the only one! I’ve lost friggin 3lbs in 2 weeks! WTH! However I just played with my calories and bumped it up to 1190 yesterday and I lost 1lb overnight..So I think me being at 800-900 w/ exercise was making my body store the weight. I’m going to go to 1200 again today and see if maybe I just need to up my calories. I’m just 12lbs off from you (276) so maybe try upping your intake and see what happens. For our weights eating 800-900 should makes us loose steadily.. Oh and as for the hunger thing, I stopped the shakes and just eat a cup of mushies (protein). I generally stay full till my next meal (I eat every 3 ½ to 4hrs) My typical day: B: 2 eggs scrambled w/ 1oz cheese L: 1 cup pureed chicken w/ Ricotta D: 1 cup Pureed Chicken w/ Ricotta Snacks: Jell-O, SF Popsicles, or reduced fat string cheese chewed very very well. What do you typically eat? I like to see what other bandsters are eating.. Good Luck and I’m sure will make it out of bandster hell lighter!
  16. Mine are 80% healed, just a few scabs. Mine were sealed with Dermabond and with time the adhesive washed away and i was left with small scabs.
  17. Im on the mushy phase..Cheesecake is mushy! I ate a bit more than usual but by no means what I could do prior to banding..I had a sliver of cheesecake and was soo satisfied!
  18. It is by far the worse feeling in the world..and only time helped pass it along..I was eating scrambled eggs and my first bite was a bigger bite without throughly chewing :tongue2: so guys please do chew, chew, chew your foods..
