  1. I totally agree...Lets see, I've been at goal weight for about 6 months now, I'm suppose to be toning up, which I have to admit is as hard as everyone said it would be at my age and much much harder than I thought. I can't afford plastic surgery so I'm learning to deal with ummm extra skin...Not complaining, I've learned a few tricks with dressing that help a lot. My health has improved so much, loosing the weight has made such a huge change in my life. I find it easy to eat right now....I'm not against the occasional treating (some call cheating) myself but I am very aware of what I eat, when I eat it, and how I eat it. The lb was the perfect tool for me. If I can remember how I'll try n update my pic. I never thought I'd be one that said I got down to a size 4 but I am, and very proud of it
  2. Sorry you had to deal with the gall bladder during your weight loss but maybe it had a silver lining....stuff like that is an unfortunate part of life and you still lost even if it wasn't as much as u wanted. 12-14 I'd say its time to apply for that dream job!!:tongue_smilie:
  3. It looks like they definately went looking for some major drama and found it. I felt sorry for Daniel when he n Shay were partners but shes still bitching now that they are on the blue team together. Listening to Lizzy say she was gonna vote Tracey off o matter what then watching her switch went right through me. She said she was allowed back in the gym this week so her numbers should stay good and make her a bigger threat than Mo was in the pain hes in. I so do NOT feel sorry for anything she does to the blue team or what the black team does to the blue team when they find out they didn't vote her off
  4. Wow it took me forever to find this thread ...I kept watching the old one and nothing...... I CAN'T believe I have to listen to Tracey for another week...but I will I'm totally addicted to the show. I'd love to know how shes dropping such big numbers as restricted as they've had her hmmmm
  5. Thats amazing
  6. I know where my but will be on Sept 15th....I found this clip on Dan In last season's "The Biggest Loser: Couples," Daniel was the heaviest contestant in the history of the show, weighing in at 454 pounds. He lost 142 pounds by the May 12 finale, getting him down to 312 pounds. In keeping with the "Second Chances" theme of Season 8, Daniel is returning to the Biggest Loser ranch to continue his weight-loss journey. Daniel is an intellectual and caring person with an extraordinary character and positive attitude towards life. He always strives to do his best in everything he does. He hopes to one day be a youth pastor. I think its great hes getting another shot, for some reason I'm thinking some may disagree with that, but for now I think its great
  7. actually I'm subscribed to quite a few and to me the boards seem kind of quiet lately. Theres a new posts feature yuo can use to see if theres things of interest or even the chat room, which is usually jumping, both newbies n oldies good luck
  8. I don't remember exactly what mine holds but I think it was around 10 so I have a ways to go. I've felt restriction since day one though even after swelling went down, it just seems I learn to adjust fairly fast and now just mostly struggle with head hunger.....for some reason I have deeloped a continuous craving for apple pie go figure. I used to throw them away cause they would just get wasted, now I can't wait till the holidays thats my treat LOL welcome to the thread, we don't post a lot but we are here if you need us
  9. Theres a dozen reasons I've laid mine down, who knows I may put it back on. I'm not against them, just haven't clicke with mine the way I hoped. I think if I weren't so limited physically maybe it would be differant. I've read a lot of good things from other banders
  10. Amy I've used the body bugg and finally got frustrated with it, just seems like at the end of the week nothing works but a fill. My dr says come get one any week I don't loose a pound but that just seems so drastic, not to mention I have to travel over an hour and am stuck t my DH's work the rest of the day. Strange how the fills cause me to loose 4-5 lbs and I can maintain that weight easily. Loosing without the fill seems about impossible though:thumbdown: I may schedule one for week after next, my last fill hurt pretty bad for some reason, anyone run into a particularily painful fill yet?
  11. I started eating fiber one for breakfast every day when things like fiber choice and splenda with fiber didn't work. It seemed to be enough to push me over, also they sell Magnesium Citrate Oral Solution, I had to drink a bottle then with the fiber one have stayed pretty regular.
  12. after the first few days I was soooo hungry then my first appt was canceled which meant I had to stay on liquids till the new appt, ok I was bad and slipped some things like navy beans in but ate super slow and only after my original appt date passed. The fills help a lot with hunger, head hunger is the butt kicker. When I seem to be struggeling real hard with my calories I have a little added. Hang in there its soooo worth it. If your getting protein now that seems to help a little. I remember eating and drinking grape stuff like crystal light, grape jello, and grappe liquid protein so much in the beginning, along with baby foods. Some how we all get through that part.
  13. welcome to the site. I don't remember that thread but I've seen good and bad about most drs and I think usually the bad is mostly they don't like the rules that come with the band, I think a lot of people kid themselves into thinking it will be so easy and when its not like they thought they blame the dr. I know when I listen to my dr I do much better, when I listen to me I hate the scales. Good Luck and keep us posted on your journey
  14. having to go through the diet twice shows a lot of strength and determination on your part. Which is what it takes to make the band work. Try not to worry you'll be at your parents house in no time starving to death. LOL You'll be fine, when your able post and let us know how your doing, I'll be thinking of you
  15. most carbs seem to be the slider foods I stay away from, Shin is protein protein protein if I ate chicken 3 times a day and only 4 ounces he'd be happy, unfortunately I'm still trying to learn to like chicken. the turkey weenies are 3 gms each so thats 6 if I do 2 the red meat has 0 so I'm within my carb amount. I just got off the phone with GNC and they had one product with 60 gms of protein 250 cals. and since we females supposedly don't absorb it as well looks like I'll be staying with the bullets and just have to push myself to remember to drink them I do think I might possibly add cottage cheese once I check out the label (hoping its bad but am assuming its not) my weight loss has basically just been steady, for me when I got the first 30 off it allowed me to exercise which even though I'm kind of limited was something I've none of in over 4 yrs due to other problems.....I think thats why I've lost more than I expected to at this point. When I saw him last I wasn't as tired or I'm sure it would of been addressed, in the mean time if I have to add some calories to make up the protein then so be it. I would add another half of a bullit if remembering it in the first place wasn't so hard for me LOL...he did make it clear to expect my weight loss to become much slower now especially since I'm not really able to wisely increase my exercising
