I am outside of Orlando....near Sanford, Deland, Deltona....only 20mi from Daytona.....so not really far from you Barbara!!! There are SEVERAL people kicking my butt on LBT in weight loss!! I am trying to move this process along....still have much too go!!!! Although I am thinking I am about 1/2 way FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That part is exciting yet thinking I still have more to go!! I've lost 82lbs yet .... still fat...but getting there!! I am seeing it every once in awhile that I am changing! Muslims believe "Allah" is God ....I believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and His Holy Spirit. It's not the same God. My God does not believe in resolving differences by killing. My God says to turn the other cheek. That's not to say He is not a God that "took out" people....but once Jesus came we are told to LOVE .....Muslims believe that if you do not agree w/ their "faith" and they cannot convince you w/ their words then you shall die by the sword....that's in their Koran. They also believe in their Koran that if you have something and they need it it's ok to take it....that would be stealing inthe Christians Bible. I agree things weren't handled necessarily correctly by history...I wasn't there so only know details by reading. But we were founded on Godly principles and our faith. Now we are trying to take that away and I've noticed things are a bit worse than than they were a few years ago!!! More violence, more anger.... I believe I know EXACTLY what you mean....I got SO MAD at my band about 2wks ago...I took a very small bite of cheese but was in the car and tipped back my bottle of water (what I was thinking I'll never know) this ensued a 15min sweating, yucky stuck feeling!!!! I was so mad I was ready to scream....of course my TOM started the next day and I think this had something to do w/ the stuck and the emotion behind it!! It is SO CONTROLLING at times.....but then I remember the times I cried myself to sleep over my weight and decide there is a cost to everything!! I told my husband when I get to goal.....maybe we can "loosen" it a bit!?!? We shall see!!!! I truly understand!!!! Hang in there!!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you just read the Bible...it does seem like a story to many. If you ask the Lord to open your eyes and ears then He will reveal the meaning of the Scriptures too you. I have ministered the Word of God for many years and the Lord is my life. You must read the Scripture before and after for the deeper meaning. You also must know the time it was written. Paul wrote Corinthians at a time women had just been "allowed" to come in...so guess what?! They interrupted the services to ask questions. That's why he said wait til you get home and ask your husband! I think it was a reasonable statement personally. The Baptist have a BEAUTIFUL woman ministering, Beth Moore. Because ONE person/preacher makes this decision does not destroy the TRUTH of Christianity. I am not Baptist before you think I am defending. I do not defend this....I am a minister as well. I work in "secular" work and then volunteer as the Lord leads in churches. People are human...imperfect that is why we needed a Messiah (a perfect One) to give a sacrifice to atone for our presence....we cannot enter into a Holy Heaven with a Holy God in our present state. She sounds very "exuberant" your co-worker. I think that it's fair to tell her that you don't want to "compete" as this "stresses" you or whatever. I try not to say much....I let people notice then say that I'm excited at what is happening and can't wait to lose more!! I asked my aunt if she would be insulted if I mailed my clothes and she said "INSULT ME!" and laughed!!! About the clothes I would tell her ya know I love the idea of you thinking of me....but I'm thinking we're near the same size and maybe you could donate them somewhere else?!? Say it w/ a smile!! Have you researched SouthBeach....it is a modified Atkins.....it is written by a cardiologist in Southbeach, Miami and makes a lot of sense medically. Anyway....I've lost w/ that successfully....am I perfect at it NO WAY... he says if your craving/wanting something just take a small portion not the whole container!!! Lapbandit-- FIrst of all, WOW!!! CONGRATS on all the weight loss!!!! Good job and I am IMPRESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard to realize when WE have so far too go....my husband has no clue. Couldn't admit my weight too him and I am tall so he didn't know I started at 335lbs!! I've lost 77lbs so VERY EXCITING but then I think I still have 93lbs too go!!!! So far it seems like!! I TRULY understand where you're at.....I even got mad at the band one Saturday (pb's suck) briefly... I was hormonally challenged....so not totally my fault! Fear of failure is very common....who wants to fail.....AGAIN!!!! Hang in there!!! Your normal....at least too me!! I wasn't ready for more than clear liquids until about a week after....it was ok honestly for the week....then I went to full liquids...I was READY for those....then craving mushies by the 4th week!!! I cannot imagine having a stroke...you are SO YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!! I am 38 so things like this make a person think!!!!!! My doc sprays anesthetic on my skin and then goes for it....doesn't hurt. I can feel it....but not bad at all....my doc doesn't use the flouro unless there's a problem...I just drink Water and if it goes through I go home!! God Bless, Melody Banded 3/20/06 -77lbs
