  1. Happy New Year Everyone, Wow what about those holidays, was the weight loss tough or what. Hope everyone had success.
  2. Hey All, I had my surgery done in Monterrey Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut. It was a great experience and no problems at all. I would recommend it to everyone of my friends. Check it out. Dr Rumbaut has had his lap band for 11 years and has done well over 6000 surgeries. Obesity Surgery Center - Dr. Roberto Rumbaut
  3. Hey MIMI, I went to GNC and got the whey bullet shot 42g of Protein. I love the blue rasberry and it is a small shot with that much protein. I just down it in ine gulp. Hope it helps with getting me back to the 2 lbs a week or more. I also ordered the P90X program off the TV. It is a 90 day workout program, WOW it is tough, but am finally getting enough exercise, losing again, toning especially the jiggly arms, and losing again. You should check it out. I do the exercise at home in front of the TV with my husband who also had the band on Aug 13th and he has lost 47 lbs ( the lucky dog). Most men lose faster I hear. Again AZLIFE thanks for the protien info, it has really help. I feel like I have more energy too, when I stopped the chocolate powder I didn't realize how much weakness I felt. Thanks again.
  4. wow Azlife, Thanks for the formula for the Protein. I certainly am not getting enough protein then. Maybe that is why I am only losing 1 to 1 1/2 lbs a week. I will have to work on that. I started doing protein supplement shakes, however I stopped because I couldn't find anything that tasted very good. Anyone have any suggestions?????
  5. MIMI, Glad to hear it went well. No I don't do group meetings, do they help?. Congratulations to your daughter. I sure wish I had done it when I was younger too. I am doing great with my fill. Not hungry very often at all. Losing about 2-21/2 lbs a week. Sorry it takes so long to answer I have been very busy with my NEW ACTIVE LIFESTYLE. He He
  6. MIMI, How are you doing since the fill? Hope all is well.
  7. MIMI, I forgot to tell you since getting a fill on Thursday Oct 2 I have lost another 4 lbs. Wahoo!!!!! Hardly ever hungry. Restriction is great.
  8. MIMI, Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. The fill was done under fluoro. I saw everything he did. With fluoro you see exactly how much is needed to make that small stream. Without fluoro it is a guessing game. He did not numb the area, but it was only like a pinch. The solution going in felt a little awkward, not pain, but like pressure while the Dr was getting the air out. It was a easy experience. Since the DR. got it just right I don't have any problems, and I do eat a lot less. My husband has some problems with things going down, but I haven't had any problems. I read a lot about the fills, and I am afraid to say I did not do the 12 days he asked. I did do 2 days liquids then on to regular food. Still no problems. Oh, and I got 2 cc in my band. Good Luck tomorrow!!! Oh, and I have not been to cracker barrel in Buda, but I do miss my favorite place Road House on Slaughter lane.
  9. Had my fill today. Piece of cake. Not hungry, but no problems with liquids at all. I will be on a 3 day clear diet 3 day full liquid 3 day puree diet 3 day soft (mushy) Wow, that feels like the 2 weeks after the surgery. I didn't think I would have to go thru that again. But it will all be worth it.
  10. MIMI22, I get my fill on Oct 2nd. I am sooooo excited. I will let you know when I get home. Good luck to you as well.
  11. Themis, I am going to Dr. Ricon Fills are $150. First time with fluoro is additional $125 Of course the first intital visit also includes a doctors visit. To sum it up first visit is $250 plus fluoro of $125 total of $375 Other fills are $150 unless you still need the fluoro which is additional $125. They have FillcentersUSA in Austin but they were considerably more. $425 first visit then $245 each fill because they require fluoro everytime. Worth the small drive to San Antonio. Who is your doctor in S.A.
  12. Mimi22, Hey I actually live in Dripping Springs, but I say Austin because most don't know where it is. I bet you do. Did you say you had your first fill? How was it?
  13. MIMI, My husband was banded Aug 13th with me and he has trouble with bread too. I guess I am just lucky I don't have any trouble with bread. I need to fix my ticker I lost 3 more pounds YEA!!!! Found another doctor to do my fills so getting filled Oct 2 instead of Oct 15th. 6 weeks exactly not 8. I am so excited. I live in Austin , but am driving 55 miles to San Antonio. I think it will be worth it. I was so worried about 8 weeks and gaining weight it was tough to be positive. Now I am back on track and excited again. Hope everyone is doing great.
  14. Anyone who used Dr Ricon in San Antonio, Does he require Fluoro at every fill or only the first one. I live in Austin, but am not using the FillsCenterUSA only because they only do it on Wednesdays and it is 4 weeks backed up to get an appointment. I cfalled at week 3 post op and could not get in until Oct 15th at 9 weeks. I AM NOT GAINING weight back because of this. Also on other Threads several people talked about the lady doing the fills as very unfriendly and not compassionate at all. The initial visit with Dr. Ricon is less but if we have to have fluoro everytime then the fills are $30 more. If no fluor then $90 less. ANyone know?
  15. Roheryn, Still that is great! Keep up the good work.
