  2. I agree and I was thinking of doing it through Ro or something like that. I have gained about 12lbs from my lowest and before the new additions of boobs. I do have a lot more muscle on my body but I do catch myself binge. He did tell me that if the weight continues to creep up then we would revisit. He told me its not a no its a not right now. Ideally I would love to lose about 10-15 more pounds. Just to stay in my safe zone.
  3. how is the GLP-1 going? I went to my doctor and he said no to me. He said that it would be more hard than good. That my "fat" I am seeing is my loose skin. He told me to go get a dexa scan done to see the percent of muscle I have in comparison to fat, that he wanted me to keep doing what Im doing and if the scale goes up after 40 (in 3yrs) we can talk bout hormone balance and a GLP-1...boooooo
  4. @Mspretty86 i cannot run even with two sports bras my bewbs bounce too much! LOOLOL but I need to hit more cardio. Girl message me before and after and I will hype you up!!! The number on the scale that is terrifying me because same as you its a danger zone.
  5. I’ve been thinking about the GLP-1 because the food noise has been really rough lately. Since my lowest weight- before the boobs and before my “muscle mommy” era (LOL)- I’m up about 15 lbs. The weird part is I’m still roughly the same size, except for tops because of the new additions. But mentally, things feel different. I find myself binging at night sometimes just because I want something sweet. I don’t know where my control and discipline went. I used to be so hyper-focused, and now that I’m more in a maintenance phase it feels like I get in my own head. Then I end up sabotaging myself or almost punishing myself for it. During the week I do great. I meal prep, I eat 140g+ of protein, I do about 30 minutes of cardio and get 10–12k steps, and I weight train 4–5 days a week. But Saturdays can turn into a free-for-all sometimes. And when I allow myself to have cocktails, I have a hard time stopping at just one. Then Sundays I feel like sh** and then get back on track. I know that the muscles are shaping me and I look different at this weight then someone who never weight lifted. I look in the mirror and be like "ok baddie" but then I step on the scale and I am pissed. This is honestly the first time I’ve said it out loud, but the last few months have been really hard for me.

  7. I would wait like a month or something. Doc should tell you when its okay to engage. But its not something off the table forever.

  15. This journey has been wild in the best way. I started this journey at 297 lbs. 1 year post-op: 165 lbs 2 years post-op: 175 lbs (with a breast augmentation) I had my VSG on 1/24/24, the day after I turned 35. At that point, I wasn’t happy with how I looked or how I felt. I was exhausted, uncomfortable in my body, and honestly… I wasn’t showing up as the best version of myself. My kids and husband weren’t getting the best version of me… and honestly, neither was I. So I chose to do the work. VSG has been an incredible tool. I consistently work out 5–6 days a week, combining cardio and weight training. I eat fairly well, with treats here and there… because we’re human and food is delicious! I have energy for days. My kids and husband get the best version of me, and for the first time, so do I. I’m stronger, healthier, more confident, and deeply grateful for how far I’ve come. Along this journey, I learned: • Discipline over motivation • Progress over perfection • Self-respect over self-neglect I decided to choose to show up every single day not only for myself but for my family!
  16. @Arabesque did you take a picture of your outfit?
  17. I love how I have what it seems like unlimited energy. I can play with my kids, work out, clean house, work full time, make dinner and still have enough energy for my hubby when all the kids to go sleep. Both men and women are much nicer to me, I am not self conscious, I feel more confident in my own weird self and not feel like people are judging me. I love going out with my hubby now, even though he never says it he seems to stand a little taller with me on his arm. Finding clothes is simpler, I have so many options
  18. Sydney Cummings, Madelaine Rascan (she only has a couple of videos since she has her own program), Juice &Toya and Aryana Active. All great resources!
  19. I started with 30min walks on my lunch breaks and youtube videos for weights. Slowly but surely itll get there!

  23. Honestly, It happens to all of us! We have the obesity disease and our binge eating comes back, but I will say punishing yourself is furthering your bad relationship with food. (I say this because this has taken me a very long time to recognize this) Its okay to say "this day happened time to just get back on track" Something I have learned in my short almost 2yrs is that life is going to happen, events, delicious food and its okay to enjoy these things. We just need to learn moderation- learning to have a healthy relationship with all foods. The all the time foods and sometimes foods. Easier said then done but look how far you have come! your doing amazing and you should be so proud! Now your back on track and eff it that day happened. <3
  24. We walked 25miles between two days at the park, we ate allllll the things. I let myself be in vacay mode but I am back on track. biggest NSV was not feeling sore or feeling like I wanted to die after all that walking!
  25. HI all, So here’s a little WWYD… My husband and I are heading to Disneyland next week (we’re huge Disney fans) and it’s our very first trip going just us as adults. No kids, no stroller, no schedule just the two of us running wild in the parks for a couple of days. It’s Halloween time, so you know what that means… all the fun, delicious, not-so-healthy treats are everywhere. Last time we went with the kids, we walked around 9 miles in one day and that was at stroller pace. This time, we’ll be going full force all day long to do all the things we normally can’t when we have the kids with us. We’ll probably share most of our food, but I’m torn on whether I should track everything or just let myself enjoy the bites, licks, and tastes guilt-free since this isn’t something I do all the time. I’m 20 months post-op and feel like I’ve got a handle lifestyle, but at the same time, it’s always a little scary to “let go” and not worry about tracking because that fear of gaining weight back!
