About Me

I was never able to get a resolution or an answer from my health Team for the port pain. I had to put the port pain to the side and had several surgeries unrelated to the lap-band port.

In 2022, I had emergency surgery for the removal of 14 tumors attached throughout my body. I hemorrhaged on the operating table and was in the hospital for seven days. Thank goodness all the tumors were benign. My recovery at home took two months and thank goodness I was able to still work from home.

See the thing is, I was having pain from the tumors for several months but set the pain aside until I landed in the ER. During my recovery from the tumors, I knew it was time to focus on my health.

on February 2, 2023, I will have the band removed and have the VGS procedure done at the same time. I’m not nervous because this is not my first surgery, but I am concerned about why the port has been causing me so much pain every day for the past 8 years. I want answers. I want my health back!!

on a humorous note, in the past 12 months 3 different health care aid workers hav logged my heirs as 5.6’, 5.5’ and 5.4’ 🤣
