  1. Onederland Finally!!!

I finally got to 100+ land. It has truly been a struggle at times. I was banded in August 2008 and have been slowly losing. In January I had my 4th fill and finally started losing steadily. I am so happy I finally got below 200 pounds. It has been a longtime since I have been here (17 years). I feel almost renewed now and I am ready to meet my next goal.

  2. Not feeling well.

I was just banded on 8/29/08 and I have been doing really good and feeling great and then I started my cycle two days ago and I feel like crap. I feel so tired and have had more shoulder and chest pain and I haven't changed my diet. Has anyone else experienced this with their first cycle after being banded? I just hope I don't have to go thru this every month, I just want to crawl up in the bed and sleep all day. I couldn't even drink all my protein shake this morning. I hope this passes soon. Blahhhhhh!!!:rolleyes2:
  3. Banded for 3 weeks today

I was banded 3 weeks ago today. I have lost 14.4 lbs since surgery and 19.9 lbs including the 2 week pre-op diet. I am so happy. I wish I had done this a year ago, I can't believe I ever considered not having this done. I already feel so much better. :cursing:
  4. Feeling Fine

Well today is 11 days post-op for me. All my incisions are healing nicely, no more bandaids. I have lost 8.4 lbs and I have walked the last 7 days in a row!!!! I go back to work on Thursday. I am keeping a diary everyday of what I eat and how much I exercise. I actually enjoy writing my day down on paper. It helps keep me honest. I feel like I have a new attitude:smile2:
  5. Too fast!!!

OMG...I just learned a valuable lesson. Do not drink your protein shake toooo fast. I guess I was going back to my old ways and I didn't realize how fast I was drinking, not until the shoulder pain kicked in. Well 2 hours later I am feeling better but believe me I will slow down from now on.
  6. Disappointed

I know I should be happy but I am disappointed in myself. Today I weighed for the first time since my surgery 8/29/08. I have only lost 5.4 lbs. I have been on the clear liquids and I have been walking 30 minutes a day. I have read so many post by others who lost so much more their first week. I know everyone is different. I guess I just set myself up for a let down. If I only lost 5.4 lbs this week I am scared for the next week considering I am moving up to full liquids. What do I do??
  7. Post op day 7

I must confess I feel really good. I am starting my full liquid diet tomorrow and I have been exercising and have been cleaning house. I went and had a manicure and pedicure today. I am so excited about my new life with my band. I will be weighing tomorrow for the first time since surgergy.
  8. Day 5

I finally slept thru the night without having to get up and sleep in the recliner. I am still having some port pain but I can deal with that. Every day just keeps getting better. I walked again yesterday for 30 minutes, that is 2 days in a row. I will make it 3 days in a row today. I am excited about weighing on Saturday. I am only going to weight once a week.
