abingdongirl- i am also a full month out of surgery, i'm supposed to get my first fill next wednesday, but i'm not sure if im ready for it yet =/ i started my regular foods already, but its hard to chew anything now cause im pretty sure i have a cavity on each side of my mouth, sucks! and the earliest i can get in to my dentist is sept. 26th, sometimes it hits the cavity and makes me wanna stop eating and i haven't even ate much so heh. the good thing is, is that i'll most likely beable to come home for lunch everyday and i wont have to go back to school for the rest of the day. i'm asking my councelor for an early dismissal for everyday cause i'm gonna drop cosmetology this year and just take it next year, it'll make it a lot easier for me, i'm not as scared as i was to go back to school now, phew! yes and i have a class i really like which is drawing and painting two, since i'll most likely have an early dismissal, i'll only have 6 class periods and i'll be coming home at 12, theres 9 class periods in a full school day, i just have to find out what i'm going to do when i get home to keep me busy, i'm thinking of walking and i need something else too. i never ate lunch at school, i only brought a nature valley bar and water or something else. i have study hall everyother day and gym the other i was thinking of bringing something on my study hall days, but i'll be home for lunch thanks (: baferg01- that happens to me too sometimes. but sometimes i'll feel restricted and others i wont. it could be a possibility youd need a fill. its okay (: yeah i burped and it didnt help O.o i will try the flat coke sometime ToomuchRN- when i started regular food i didnt gain anything or lose anything good luck on your fills guys im not sure if im ready for my first one yet

A narrowing?!
I'm starting to feel better, I'm gonna drop cosmetology this year and just go next year since I won't have to go to regular school plus since I'll drop cosmetology I'll beable to have an early dismissal everyday which I'll beable to have lunch at home and relax the rest of the day and have time to exercise or do something fun (: sounds really good to me I can tell I'll have a good year now (:. I started doing solids the day my nut told me to and since then I've been getting a little better she also said to eat my protein instead of drinking it.

oh and i just want to let you guys know, that i decided not to do cosmetology this year, i just dont think i can do it right now, just been feeling sick so yeah and the thought of getting an early dismissal everyday, eases my mind. i talked to my mom about it and seriously it relieved a lot of stress of my shoulders. so my last year of high school will be a breeze and i can relax and i can get my homework done early and probably go chill somewhere. i feel really happy now, just being able to go home early and stuff, i'll be in school for 5 hours and 6 classes, instead of 9 hours, 6 classes and cosmetology which takes up 3 classes, my school has 9 periods in a day, so yeah sounds good to me (:

I know, it's not fair, I start school Tuesday and I have to go feeling the way I do. Anyways it's not real bad nausea But sometimmes it gets to the point where I feel like I gotta puke but most of the times nothing comes up. Sometimes it's there when I sit long and my classes in high school are 45 mins long idk what I'm gonna do about that I'm going to be miserable at school ):... I know for a fact I'm really stressed about school but before the band I was never like this before the first day of school, no, I haven't been tested for food alergies, I haven't ate anything I never ate before. What's IBS? No I haven't had my blood sugar checked either I've been taking depo since February of last year and I had no probs with it Hmm I don't knoww

it's my neices birthday party today, she turns 3 tomorrow, and I can't even enjoy it, something keeps making me feel sick to my stomach it's not fair!!! I was outside (it's beautiful out by the way) with everyone else and I was about to cry so I came in, not fair!! I feel like it won't go away my nausea pills seem like they're not even working I don't even know what to do anymore, I tried relaxing and calming down and all that but how can I if it never goes away?! Wish there was an exact answer to why I'm feeling sick/nauseated all the damn time, people say stop blaming the band, what If I'm alergic to it? I see my dr on the 16th hopefully I can last in school.... Ugh

yeah I get that too but I don't get it as much. The numbing I'm talking about is do they numb the spot before you get your fill, some Dr's do it and some don't, mine doesn't

Is This Normal--Banded Today
hello, yes it's normal (: I didn't feel pain at all and I didn't need my pain meds. It hurt when I got up or sat down or lean back so my mom and dad helped me with that. Like someone else said, use a pillow I didn't use one much but it really helps when you walk. I wasn't hungry at all til week two strange but I was also nauseated so much my first week that I couldn't get broth down but I got Water down fine anyways keep on walking as much as you can it helps get rid of the gas and I had gas pain in my shoulder too a heating pad help get rid of it too Hope this helps Best of wishes! glad to hear everyone is doing great its a big plus for the pickle cause i like them and i havent had a pickle since wayyy before surgery. and i'll try the fiber wheat thins i know, nobody is a fan of vomitting, maybe i just have a weaker stomach to be causing the nausea? but i never had nausea like this unless i was extremely EXTREMELY nervous and thats very rare for me and i do think not being able to go #2 is making me feel nauseous too. i'm happy with how much i lost and i lost 16 (thats what the drs scale said and mine said i lost 17) but all together i lost 36 or 37, i could tell that my clothes are fitting better but i havent dropped a pant size yet, =/ cant wait :sneaky: walking makes me feel better too so atleast you enjoy it, you wont stop (: awesome with winning the mental eating, i've been getting headaches too and i dont know why, it could be the same thing as you tho, but i got my depo aug 17th good job you guys tho (:

Going back to school/ recover time
awesome, atleast you wont be missing homework (: my nausea came back, it came back on aug 21st midnight friday night. i had it since. other than being nauseated i feel fine. its not fair that everybody else is feeling awesome and able to go out, not me, when i have plans with a friend, i have to cancel at the last minute cause i feel nauseated and feel like i gotta puke. it sucks, i had a crappy summer, last month sucked, i dont feel like myself, i forgot what that even felt like. i never been so nauseated in my life. before the band i felt awesome, i was happy, and i was able to go places, i never felt sick or nauseated unless i was extremely, EXTREMELY nervous and thats very rare for me. ): i'd also probably feel a lot better if i never had this weird feeling in my throat (it feels like phlegm) id only had that feeling if i was sick and i dont feel sick. i saw my dr on wednesday, i showed him my incissions, they have like a rash/hives on them and he said he didnt know what was causing it he also didnt know what was causing the nausea but he said he had a patient that went home one day, ate a pickle and went back said she felt great! so he said if i needed to, eat a pickle before my meals, he also said some people have nausea for a couple of months...people say "stop blaming the band!!" what else am i supposed to blame? after all i never felt the way i do before the band, my dr said he wishes he had a magic button to make me feel better. sometimes i feel like crying cause its not fair that i have to feel this way and i always think sometimes "why did i do this to my body?"...anyways i was extremely EXCITED to go back to school, now im very scared to go back which is tuesday. i'm also scared about having embarrassing episodes like dry heaving/vomitting (which i haven't vomitted yet), having a PB, sliming, and the most embarrassing one lol i cant even say it cause its that embarrassing lol at the pre-op class your nurse should go over those things, and for my cosmetology class i need 500 hours each year which is a two year course, i'm worried i'll miss alot of school and that also scares me ): its my last year, all i wanted was a good senior year anywho sorry that was so long my dr wants to see me every two weeks, hopefully i get better, but keep in touch im glad we have a lot in common (:

5 weeks post op
i'm 5 weeks post op as of today (: anybody else 5 weeks or 6 weeks post op? how are you all doing? i'll start off with me, eh, could be A WHOLE LOT BETTER! im schedualed for a fill on the 16th but i dont think im ready for it yet, not with my stupid nausea, that doesnt seem to go away and im taking my nausea pills, that alone makes me frustrated, other than feeling nauseated, i feel fine. hope i dont have that for the rest of my life, but for some people they have nausea for a few months right? my dr said try eating a pickle, he had a patient that went home one night ate a pickle and felt great! is it cause of the vineger? and the nausea is the only thing thats making me upset, its making me lose hope in getting back to myself and feeling 100% wonderfull ahh! my incissions are healing fine, but have hives around them and itchy dr said he didnt know what was causing it and he didnt know what was causing the nausea. i gotta go #2 (lol sorry tmi) and i cant! maybe thats another reason why my stomach hurts. i'll take a softener when i get home from getting my lip pierced. i had soggy cereal for breakfast yesturday its go lean kashi or something like that, i tried a string cheese yesturday with turkey breast deli wrapped around it had like 3 bites and i couldn't eat it anymore, i dont think i was hungry. i had a chicken leg for dinner with my fav BBQ sauce and i fed most of it to the dog and cats, it tasted good though. today i didnt have anything for breakfast, i cant decide on anything, but im gonna have string cheese, i wasnt too hungry for breakfast, anyways i feel fine other than having nausea, i hope it goes away, how are all you guys doing? :smile2:

If it ever happens to me
I saw my surgeron yesturday, he said he didn't know what was causing the rash/hives and he didn't know why I still had nausea, just told me to take my nausea meds as needed, he wasn't concerned that anything was wrong. He said that my stomach can just be sensitive to the band and will get use to it. He wanted me to get bloodwork yesturday to check my protine level I think and a few other things and he wants to see me every 2 weeks

If it ever happens to me
If I have to get my band out ever, if I eat on my small plate and exercise as much as possible should I beable to lose weight still? Would I get back to normal quicker? And I had nausea more than I ever had since being banded would that go away, I'd be much happier. So how did you guys feel after getting it removed? If I do get mine removed, I DONT want any other surgery. Did you guys find a plan to lose the rest of your weight? Reason why I'm asking is because I have a feeling I might be alergic to my band and I have a feeling it might be what's causing my nasty nausea. I have a rash/alot of hives near my incissions near the biggest incission, the hole on the right and the hole on my chest, it's very very itchy I always wake up in the middle of the night and the first thing I got to do is itch. Sometimes my band is crampy and maybe that's why I wake up. When I get up from laying down or even sitting, I get dizzy, sometimes when standing I get dizzy. Anyways, how long is recovery after removal? Is it faster than getting it? Hopefully I won't have to, but just answer, thanks (:

is there a such thing?
alright I'll give him a call later

is there a such thing?
now im really curious cause i have a rash/hives (i had this since the begining of week two and it increased) right around where my stomach/band is on my biggest incission (under my right boob) and near one of the holes on the right and its so darn itchy and its achey, the band that is, and ive been nauseated and i read the symtoms, it was on there, so should i ask my dr about this and see if i can get and alergy test or something?

PB's will suck, i havent had one, well kind of had, a while ago like in week 3 i think, i tried a cracker and it felt like it was stuck (i know i wasnt supposed to) but i tried it anyways, it didnt come up it went down after awhile, it does hurt, but i really shouldnt have had that since i really dont have a fill. i will eat the popsicles and i will get some more gatorade g2 cause i can drink those ..ugh my mom just got the wrong kind, hopefully its ok, its regular gatorade >.< what are some softer proteins? eggs and what else? and yeah the meatloaf stayed down. i dont have any burning, i had a little bit in my mouth but it went away..i know, this website helped me get through tough times and found answers to my questions, i come on here everyday, yeah its going to be hard when i go back to school, im really nervous to go back, just the thought of getting sick or something, bothers me. thanks (:
