  2. This is my story, I was banded by one doc and he left the practice so his paartner has been doing my aftercare. I like both docs so all is good there but doc # 2 asked me what my goal weight was and I didnt have an answer. My goal for having the surgery was to eliminat diabetes meds. How should I determine a realistic weight goal. Did you do it or did your doc do it?? Thanks for the input!
  3. Hi Alvin................I am from Melbourne FL
  4. I found the first part of your reply very interesting because I used to feel the same way until my last fill. The doc shocked me when he was leaving it up to me. Quite honestly I dont wan that responsibility I wanted him to make that call. In the end we made it together.:crying:
  5. Thank you and yes I had some issues in the beginning. Basically it was all about insurance, I had thought I was going to have to see another surgeon but it worked itself out and Dr. D was the one who did my surgery. He was a great doc. I was VERY pleased it worked out the way it did. Good luck to you!
  6. My pre op was two weeks of liquids and those were clear liquids. My cheating was having 4 ritz crackers with my chicken broth and I think I had a piece of wheat toast twice for breakfast

  18. Does the water go down at all? I had my fourth fill to 7.5cc's and was very worried in the beginning that I was too tight but after 3 weeks I have really loosened up and glad I didnt go back for a unfil. I will say though it is very important to be able to hold on to liquids. they MUST be able to go down!!
  19. Tricare worked fast for me!! I had approval in about 3 days. No 6 month diet required. Type II diabetes and high blood pressure helped me get in.
