  1. I do have this issue and have noticed its only after eating cetain foods that seem to bind back together while in the pouch. Nuts are a a big culprit. If I drink some juice it seems to pass.
  2. All I can say is it WILL get better!! There are days it becomes evening and I realize I have forgotten to eat! Other days I can eat allot. It all seams to balance out.
  3. I live on the other side near Cocoa Beach. My parents live in Hernando county.
  4. Hello, My name is Mary and I am 44 years young and a wife of 27 years this month. I was banded in 11/2008 and I am 14 lbs from my goal and extremely happy.
  5. Just wondering if there are any Central Florida Bandsters out there?
  6. I am a little over a year out and I have 8.5 in a 10 band. I have restriction but still at different times can eat more than a cup and other times I am as tight as anything. There are just so many variables. I exercise regularly and consume about 900 to 1000 calories a day but I too am at a plateu ughhhhh
  7. Welcome!!! I live in Melbourne
  8. Your not a nut job:) My intent is to loose 90lbs however 80 would absolutely thrill me!!! I have lost only 47 so far and if I didnt loose another I wouldnt regret it! Anything I have lost and can keep off is a blessing!
  9. I have seen many posts about this and they are all conflicting. I have lost an abundance of hair but I also see new growth so I am riding it out.
  10. So sorry to hear that! I had an issue with my physicians office too and thought my surgery hopes had ended but it all worked out. Keep the faith
  11. I havent seen it in years:tt2::confused:
  12. I can speak from experience and all I can say is work through it and it will get better. I have been on a 4 week plateu. I have not lost a thing however I know my body is changing. Doesnt make me feel better when the scale DOESNT move:(
  13. Ok I have to cime in on the original post. I am 42 and love my band! I am at 8.5cc's in a 10cc band. On occasion I PB, yes I have slimed once or twice. This has occurrred mostly when I dont respect my band and try to eat to fast or eat more than I should. Again, let me say I love my band. I too have lost slower than I wanted but my doc says slow and steady. I have bben able to kick my high blood pressure to the curb and no longer require meds for it. As for the type 2 diabetes meds, I have decreased dosage at every check up. After all the update I have to say that I love my band HOWEVER, I have made life changes and if you are not ready to put in some work, the band wont work. You have to be committed to making your band be successful FOR you. It is not a miracle for weight loss, it requires work from you. Just my two cents. Good luck
  14. I did NOT want to upset anyone from LA or California for thatt matter. I actually loved my time there I was just so surprised by the advertising. I hate that some have cheapened something that has helped me dramatically!!
  15. I noticed your jersey...... GO BEARS:tt2:
  16. I have never hid the fact that I had my surgery but after seeing it maeketed that way it made it feel like the easy way out and we all know it is NOT the easy way. It is still work
  17. OMG.............. I am from Florida, learned about Lap Band through my PCM and of course the TV commercial. I was amazed at the amount of billboards around the LA area on a recent trip out West. It is reeally marketed out there!! I dont want to offend anyone from Cali because I really loved it out there but the impression from the billboards I got was NOT "get healthy" but "get skinny"
  18. Very good way of looking at it!!!:mad2:
  19. How long does it take you to eat?? I have learned with dinner(which is probaly why I am able to get a cup down) but I savor it and it usually takes me about 45 min to eat it. I would probably eat less if I just quit at 30 minutes but I am stil loosing and happy so thats what matters to me:tt2:
  20. Thank you! Yes I am quite full but doing well with it. For Breakfast (late Morning) I may have a bananna. For lunch it is usually a piece or two of lean lunchmeat and cheese and some fruit, dinner is where I get majority of Protein, if I measured my dinner it would be about a cup to 1 1/4 cups and 80% of that would be protein and the rest veggies. I may taste a carb or two here and there but I dont have the room for them. I find myself being very aware of what foods get the limited space:tongue_smilie:
  21. What a can of worms!! In nutshell everyone will have a different opinion. The concern I would have is having a surgeon do a surgery she was against. The original post stated she would do it even though she doesnt reccomend it. I wouldnt have done anything unless my surgeon was behind it 100%
  22. My doc says liquids for 24 hrs then go slowly with whatever I can tolerate. I am responding becaus I too am 6 months out and just got my last fill bringing me to 8.5cc's and I gurgle too. I too thought maybe to tight but I ma managing and have not lost energy so I think I am good. Wish me luck though because I am flying next week and have heard mixed things about how the band will re-act. Take Care:glare:

Good luck to you!!! Pre-op diet is a rough time and honestly when I found out I could only have liquids for 2 full weeks I would have nver thought I could do it but I did and I didnt die:) Hang in there it is all soooooooooo worth it.
