Buying 1 oz cups and water/meal prepping is the way to go. I have a timer that goes off from 8-8 still hard to keep up

I am feeling a lot better but the gas comes in waves right now but as soon as I start to walk it releases thank goodness. Also I had the sleeve.

I'm one year and 2 months out from MGB. I had my surgery in Egypt (self paid) end of January 2022. Starting weight 149 kg, current weight 78.8 kg (this morning). This forum has been a huge help for me since I did the surgery without any proper research which is not something that I'd usually do but I was really frustrated and fed up with trying to lose weight and not getting any lasting results.
I'm not currently following any specific diet and I eat whatever I want (in very small quantities) - please don't tell my doctor haha. I eat my Protein first, followed by vegetables and salad and then carbs if I'm still not full. I take 1/2 teaspoon of sugar with my morning coffee. Of course, I had to follow the program that was given to me after the surgery.
I had a long stall for the past 3 months or so but luckily I'm losing again since I started fasting (the fasting month started 14 days ago). My current target is 70 kg (I'm 170 cm tall) and I can't wait to lose the last 9 kgs.
I got a mountain bike when I was 120 kg and have been riding it around my house which helped with the weight loss. The longest distance for me was 8 km. It has been raining almost every night here and I've not been able to use the bike for almost 3 months or so.Hopefully the weather will improve soon. I'm working in a remote town and there is a small gym here. I'm to check it out next month.
Here is a photo of me around 2013 that I found while organizing my laptop folders vs me this morning. Needless to say, life is getting better and better overall and I can't wait to try all the things that I've not been able to do because of my weight.

1. Who moved my car seat back? Oh, nobody. My butt is smaller and I'm sitting further back.
2. What? Do gold necklaces stretch? Oh, no. My neck just got smaller and now the chain looks longer.
3. Painting my own toenails.
4. Fitting in most any chair.
5. Not worrying about getting stuck in chairs with arms.
6. Not worrying about a chair breaking (mostly outdoor chairs). Been there, done that.

Surgeons office called me AGAIN to change my surgery to June 7th. Not happy since I’ve been strict dieting, but at least I’ll lose more weight by surgery. Good luck to all of those getting surgery this month!!!

Had my RNY Thursday. I can’t believe how pleasantly surprised I am at the lack of pain! I feel so blessed. I had Tylenol and pain meds the first two days and haven’t needed anything since. The gas is ridiculous, but moving really does help. I was terribly weak yesterday, but after starting the twice daily Protein Shakes, I feel human again. My hope and prayer for all of you is to have the same outcome!! I’m so excited for the future!!

rolawre reacted to Sigh in I’m trying to plan for my down time and hospital stay
^^^ Yep- I didnt think it was possible either because I used to drink TONS of Water, but I had no desire or will, and had to play the head game of just a little sip wont hurt- all day long. I still cant drink a lot of water at a time- but can get more crystal lite tea in than water, which confuses me. So strange- but between fluids, Vitamins four times a day and eating 3 small meals I feel Ike i am constantly putting something in my mouth.

For me, I just didn't want it. I had no desire to drink in the hospital. I had to as part of my discharge requirements. Now, if I drink too much at a time, I feel a lot if pressure that is uncomfortable. 64oz is a lot of Fluid to take in when you're stomach is so small and still swollen. Some people say the fuild goes right through their stomach. It doesn't for me. I can comfortably do 1.5 oz of fluid every 10-15 minutes. I am literally drinking my entire waking hours.

I have my surgery scheduled for May 4th. I keep reminding myself that it'll be here in no time; my first appointment with my surgeon was in July 2022 and I thought back then 9-12 months was so far away. Yet here we are!

66 yo on March 9, had my sleeve on March 23. I have had no pain (other than some bloating) no nausea, no vomiting. I’m in the full liquids stage of my diet now and have experienced no hunger. I’m starting to wonder if I really had surgery!! But seriously, this is the best decision I’ve ever made (other than marrying my beautiful wife and having my kids). Weighed 299 in January. With pre op diet and surgery I’m now at 245. Energy level is high, stopping some medication, sleeping without bipap.
